Has anyone been on Allegiant Air?

WE are thinking about booking a trip on Allegiant Air, They have some great rates from Spfd Mo To Orlando, They just opened up this route today? Has anyone been on Allegiant Air before? Also what is the best way to get from Orlando Sanford Airport to WDW without spending much money? Not going until next March.. Thanks.....

I noticed that if you want to choose your seat in advance it costs and addtional $10 each way per person. R/T limo(sedan) from Sanford to WDW is about $155 if you book with WDW.

They just opened up last week here as well....looks like a good deal!!

It is a good deal- we booked a fare for 39 each way- too good to pass up- I looked everywhere for any neg. reports on this airline, couldn't find any...fingers crossed! we plan to rent a car and drive to Orlando- it's about 1 hour vs. the 1/2 hr. from MCO

How did you book Allegient? could you give me their website? they are taking over the former TMA orlando and las vegas routes from Rockford IL airport so I need to begin getting familiar with the process; I book in January. I'm so happy that they stepped in because we can't stand to drive into Chicago anymore to one of those airports and Sanford is much more relaxing than mco

DISFANS3, I'm from your neck of the woods! I too want to know about Allegiant. We went on DCL cruise/MK in sept, and I was soooo disappointed I had to drive to KC to get good deal from SWA. Now, hopefully we can get good deals here! I was checking Allegiant's website last weekend and noticed they have some $49 fares to Vegas this fall through next feb, so hopefully their Orlando rates will get this cheap again next Oct. My sister flew allegiant to vegas in June and she said it was just fine. As far as traveling from sanford, I'm sure that airport has a website with transportation options. I'd either rent a car for the whole week or rent from alamo for a 1 way each way and turn it in at the car care center near MK.

I also got the $39 each way flights out of Portsmouth, NH. I'm finding the car rental prices are higher than MCO, but that could be because I'm booking in Dec. The savings on the flight is worth the difference, anyway.
I'll post a review when I get back in December.
One tip: when booking a car, be sure the rental desk is open when your flight arrives -- we were limited to two companies (Alamo and National) because we don't arive until after 9 p.m.
