Hi

My husband and I had to change our booking to April next year, which I am guted about. Hey it happens.

What is the weather like and the crowds? We usually go in June.

We've been to WDW in very early April (only once) and the weather was beautiful - not too hot or humid - although the early mornings / evenings could get a bit chilly.

The crowds will depend a lot on whether you'll be there over Easter. If you will be, then expect heavy crowds! Easter Monday in 2004 is April 12th.

We always go in April because of school holidays but the weather is just right (for me anyway!) - mid to high 80s and not much rain, if any. But it is very crowded - I often wonder what the parks must be like at quiet times of the year. The plusses are the parks are open longer and you have a really good atmosphere everywhere.

I've been in April too and it's perfect for us. Hot enough for the wife, warm enough for me, and great for the kids. The queues will be longer, but heck it's a great opportunity to meet new friends. I'm already planning on going in April 2004. The last day of school in Buckinghamshire is the 2nd of April.

Go. Enjoy it.

We went Easter 1996 (April) and loved it, like Sandie says its like a "good" Uk summer!!!! Warm and pleasant, not too much rain, but a bit cooler in the evenings. The plus is that the parks are open later with usually full fireworks and parades. To be perfectly honest, we didn't really find it unbearably busy, and we went to MK on Easter Day!! Then again we are quite relaxed about queues etc. probably best to get a 10 day or LOS pass so you can pop in and out of parks at will rather than having to be committed to whole days?

We have been in April 4 times & are going again in a little over 4 weeks. After Easter the crowds reduce. The longest ever wait we have had is an hour for Spiderman & that was because it broke down. In my opinion its a great time to go.

Hi

For the times we have been it is in April. We go because of the school holidays. We usually take a few days off before the big rush of Easter crowds. The temperature is usually between 80-90F which we find the best temperature. If you haven't got kids then avoid the Easter holidays the queues increase so much that most of your time in the parks are spent in a line waiting. The restaurants also fill up quicker in the Easter holidays.

I think April is a great time to go and we would never go anyother time of the year, we are going this April in a couple of weeks, can't wait! :D

.. we've been there several times in April too - as has already been said, the weather is usually lovely. However, last year they really had a heatwave in April so you can never be absolutely sure about the temps etc.

You didn't say when in April you'll be there - the Disney resorts fill up the weekend before Easter and the parks will be very busy from then on until after Easter. We skip the parks on Easter Saturday and have found that it's a pretty good day to visit Downtown Disney, and then have a meal at a resort such as the Poly or Grand Floridian where you can watch the Electric Water pageant and the MK fireworks without the crowds.

Try to get to the parks for opening and use Fastpass where possible.
