Has anyone been happy with every place they have stayed?

Yes! We've been happy with all the WDW resorts we've stayed at. We've stayed at all multiple times except All Star Sports, Yacht Club, Swan, Dolphin and Fort Wilderness Campsites. Only once in many stays did we have a room that was overdue for rehab, at All Star Music, but I didn't complain until I got home because it was the only room available on-site(!) beside BW Concierge and we had missed our plane and needed someplace inexpensive to sleep! I wrote a letter, received a decent response and next time we stayed at All Star Music the room was great. Obviously, there are locations and rooms better than others, but basically I'm happy to be anywhere at WDW!

After many offsite stays, we've stayed BC, Poly, WL (concierge), AKL, POR and POFQ. Liked them all...could not pick a favorite, but we will be returning to AKL this year and will be staying concierge. Might be the start of a new trend! :lmao:

WL was always my dream resort to stay at, the theming is right up my alley and it was a fantastic stay.

I had zero expectations when we stayed at POP and was very suprised. Even though the room was small for 2 adults/2 kids and 1 baby, we dealt with it. I thought the resort was very clean and the theming was great.

I never had intended to stay at the POLY, but, with now a family of 5 the WL will only allow us to stay in a deluxe room. So, we tried the POLY this past March, and we fell in love with this hotel. I really felt like I was on a vacation far away on a tropical island.

So, for next year, trying to decide to stay at POLY again or go to YC and have the kids swim at Stormalong Bay.

Thanks for all the responses, it's nice to read so many positive posts!

Just because you have 5 in ur family doesn't mean you have to go deluxe. There is 5 in our party and we are staying POR. CANT WAIT!

I was just curious. I've stayed offsite 5 times and I've stayed onsite 3 times and I have been happy with all of my trips.

I loved staying at the Pop, I loved staying at WL and I loved staying at the Poly.

I see so many posts of people who are disappointed with their hotel stays and I have to say that I personally have always had a positive experience. I'm not saying that every stay has been "perfect" but I'm willing to overlook some minor issues and human error and still have a great time!

Disneyworld, what more do you need to make a great vacation? :)

Leah,
In general I've noticed an upswing in the number of complaints and the severity of the complaints. So many people are posting how their vacations have been "ruined" by _____ fill iin th blanks. I love the ones that say because the view is less than spectactular, their vacation was ruined. Get a grip, it's a view! Maybe it's just easier to complain than it is to compliment. I've been very fortunate that I've enjoyed every place I've stayed. My sons and Dh are very tall (6ft+) so we've been cramped in the values but we enjoyed them. Yes, I run into mousekeeping issue or rude cm's but no more than when I go any where else. 16 years and still having great vacations.

It's all in the attitude! In our 20+ years of going to Florida, we've done it all - on site WDW in value, moderate, deluxe, on-site at USO, off-site in pool homes, motels, hotels. We've even ventured to the Gulf Coast - who knew there were beaches in Florida!

Sure there were some accommodations which were less than ideal (on-site and off) but again - it's all in the attitude! I've always refused to be drawn into the "perfect location" syndrome. We've always planned our vacations according to circumstances (party size/budget, etc) and set our expections accordingly. Never been disappointed yet!

I have enjoyed all the hotels I have stayed at!

Obviously, I've preferred some hotels over others, but I think that's part of the fun-- trying out each and finding "the one you adore", as another poster put it. For instance, I love-love-love Coronado Springs but never got really hip to POFQ or POR. I had a great time and lots of fun staying in the All Star resorts, but I won't go back until we're parents-- it seems more geared towards families and less geared towards couples. I like resorts with a little bit of a romantic flair!

We also have really positive attitudes though, and we take most things with a grain of salt. Just being in Disney is enough to make any problem seem minor! Most of the "bad" things that happen to us usually end up being a great inside joke later down the road--

For instance, one time we were checking into CSR. We put our key in the door, only to walk in on a man sitting on the bed, wearing only tighty-whities and cowboy boots, talking on the phone. :rotfl2:

He jumped up and started screaming before we high-tailed it back to El Centro. Yes, an inconvenience, but was it ever funny! Plus we got free dinner at the Pepper Market!

I can't wait to try WL and AKL on our honeymoon in June! :groom: :bride:

I have enjoyed everyone of the resorts that we stayed in. These include all of those listed below.      :3dglasses :3dglasses :3dglasses :dance3: :dance3: :rockband:

Thank you for that! That was my first laugh of the day! :rotfl2:

We have stayed at several of the resorts (always on property) and have never been disappointed. Of course, there are resorts we like better than others, but I can honestly say that I have nothing bad to say about any of our experiences.

Thank you so much for laugh! But im sure it wasnt funny when it happened :lmao:

I can honestly say that with all the trips we've made to WDW there really hasn't been one time I wasn't happy. Sure I'd like to get immediately into my room upon check-in :rotfl: but hey....if that's all I have to complain about I count myself lucky!

The old saying "A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work" applies to WDW vacations as well.

I have been happy with every location on vacation we have been, because the alternative is to not be on vacation. :thumbsup2

No Complaints here. I have loved every place that we have stayed. From the cleanliness of the rooms to the staff etc. Been very pleased !:wizard:

In 25+ years of visiting WDW and staying mostly on site (exception way back in the 80's at Hilton Disney Village and the early 90's the Dolphin), have enjoyed every resort. :)

That's not to say we've not had some issues - an absolutely filthy room at POP twice and POR assigning 2 friends a king room 3 times in the same day, then saying they were now booked solid and tried to blame us for requesting a change late in the day - this began at 5 a.m. and all we did was see the room return to the front desk, await another room assignment, be assured it was not a king and go to the room to find another king. LOL

Then the 4th time checking out a room, with manager in tow, only to find it was once again a king room! He was pretty surprised and could not apologize enough. LOL We were exhausted, but could only laugh. The manager found us a fantastic room at FQ, so all was well :)

Even with these happenings, every visit has been magical, with some more so than others :)

Have stayed at All Star Sports, CBR and CSR and enjoyed all three. While we probably wouldnt stay value again, we were still happy with the all stars and enjoyed our stay. If we are in WDW-we are happy!:cool1:

We have only been to the Polynesian and the Beach Club, but we enjoyed each and every one of our visits.

Being from the Uk, we don't get there as often as we would like, however we have stayed offsite 4 times (1999, 2001, 2004, 2005)and onsite 4 (GF Concierge (Dec 05), WL (jan 06), POLY GV and Concierge (May 06), WL (May 06).

We have NEVER been disappointed.

One of our most memorable trips was in December 2005 when we arrived at the grand floridian which my dad had booked as a surprise for my mother as her birthday present and the lovely people of disney had upgraded us from a garden viewroom to a g.f Palm clud conceirge room!!!!!! for free!!

However in my opinion WL will always be my home away from home!

We've been happy with all of the resorts we've stayed at also...twice at CBR, once at ASMo and twice at Pop, although the 2nd stay at Pop was better.
