Has anyone been happy with every place they have stayed?

I was just curious. I've stayed offsite 5 times and I've stayed onsite 3 times and I have been happy with all of my trips.

I loved staying at the Pop, I loved staying at WL and I loved staying at the Poly.

I see so many posts of people who are disappointed with their hotel stays and I have to say that I personally have always had a positive experience. I'm not saying that every stay has been "perfect" but I'm willing to overlook some minor issues and human error and still have a great time!

Disneyworld, what more do you need to make a great vacation? :)

My family has done the Beach Club, WL, and POR (again this Sept also), and we have (knock on wood!!) loved each one of these resorts. They are different in their own little way. From the food to the rooms and the mouse keeping everything has been a.o.k.!!!!

We have stayed to many times to count - all except once on site.

Have had great times each and every time, has everything been perfect - heck no! - I do not plan to stay off site again - but even that had many psoative things about it. (Like being at Disney)

I think part of the problem is we spend so much time talking about our coming trips and we build this huge anticipation - then when we actually get there - any little thing going wrong is just expanded into a big problem

Our atitude has always been to look for the good in any situation and you will find it!

is limited but we knew after staying offsite on our first visit that it would never happen again. We went from thinking we would have to *bear it* (the trip) to actually LOVING IT and becoming nuts for Disney. We visited as many resorts as possible on our last two visits, eating, walking around and poking our heads into rooms the maids were cleaning.

We stayed at ASM and LOVED it. We want to stay everywhere! I can't decide for the next trip. POP for the theming? CSR for the amenities? CBR, POR???

UGH. I know that we'll love it or make the best of it no matter what.

We are planning June 2008 and trying to decide now where to stay. We are doing 8 nights so could split stay to experience more.

I've digressed! Yes I loved ASM and so did my family.

We've always been happy. Heck, we're at WDW, so who are we to complain??!!!!

We were in the country section of AS-Music one time on our quick two night Christmas trip. That was quite a long haul to the lobby each day. I think if I had stayed there in the summer for a longer period of time with kiddos, I would've asked to move. But we didn't really care since it was the two of us, December, and we only paid $65 for the room!

We have loved every resort we have stayed in (ASM, CBR, Dolphin and WL). We were in Disney for goodness sake!! We had some very minor problems but it did not take away from the magic of staying on site. We stayed off site a few times and I will never do that again.

We've stayed at the GF, Poly, and Contemporary many times before we became vacation club members and now we stay at the villas at WL. We have never had a bad experience at any of these places. We are just thankful to be at WDW another year!

We've enjoyed all of our stays at WDW (all onsite) and DL (mostly onsite, a few offsites). Some of the onsite hotels have been a bit more fabulous (SSR, Disneyland Hotel, CSR, CBR, Pop are the current faves of where we have stayed so far) but all of them have offered extremely clean accomodations with lots of great customer service. There is only one I would not go back to and thats just because there are others I like better. But I am so glad I tried it and didn't find one thing to complain about while there. If I had some of the issues other people did I would feel differently I guess. I do have to say sometimes the negative reviews seem to be mostly just a dislike of the theming and location of a certain resort. And that is something that can be avoided for the most part with research.

Then there are those "hated it" reviews that make no sense whatsoever. Like the one I saw on here recently about a place I had actually recommended to this poster via her pm to me since I had stayed at this place. She came back and posted that it was super clean, nice pool area, great location, nice staff, fine breakfast but she hated it and won't go back. Go figure! That was for an offsite Disneyland hotel incidentally but I have seen similar negative reviews that sort of baffle me for WDW resorts as well.

As you can tell by my signature, we've stayed at most of the WDW resorts. I think they are all lovely in their own way. There have been a few very minor problems - like the last time we stayed at POR, they were power washing our building and we could never get our "key" to work so we would have to go to the front desk each time to ask someone to let us in. Finally, they replaced the whole key system on our door. Just one of those those, we still loved the place. Every resort is different, with new things to explore and experience. Our rooms have always been very clean and well maintained.

With the exception of one trip where it seemed we just had some really bad luck - we've been happy everywhere we stayed. Some places make us happier than others. We recently stayed at POP and while there is nothing wrong with the resort and we had an enjoyable stay, it just wasn't our cup of tea. We got spoiled staying at deluxe resorts and missed some of those ammenities so we likely won't stay value again. However, my mom loves it there and I would still recommend it to others.

So far I've had a great trip everytime....

I love the WL so much I bought DVC....
so far WL is my fav....but I didn't try them all yet...

POFQ was very nice.....I thought it was a great value....
place is so pretty.....every room is great because of the size of resort...

POP....I had zero expectations.....I thought I was a deluxe snob:cool2:
I really have to say.....I did like pop.....
I did miss the ceiling fan and coffee maker....but I already
knew that.....so no dissapointment....

SSR....my 1st DVC trip....a 1br....hey...it was awesome....

next.....is a split stay....
1st BCV....1st time there...then...
going back to pofq for free dining......I really wanted to try a different
one than POFQ.....but I figured with the AUG heat.....I better
stick to pofq cause it is small....

My next mod will probably be CSR....
Next deluxe...probably AKV...

who knows....all depends on the price and time of year I go;)

We have stayed at CBR twice, OKW twice abd BCV twice. We have been very happy at each resort. Was everything perfect? No, but life isn't perfect. We like to go with the flow and everything, good or bad is an adventure (at lease at WDW). It's Disney...even a bad day at Disney is better than a good day at work.:)

We have stayed at Port Orleans FQ (many times), the Polynesian (once, going back next year), Caribbean Beach (many times) and Coronado Springs (once). I stayed offsite once over 20 years ago. We have loved every Disney Resort, each for its unique charms.

I agree with something another poster mentioned, sometimes expectations are so unreasonable that a person terms a trip "awful" or "ruined" for a reason such as they did not get towel animals. Our WDW rooms have always been comfortable and clean, and the CMs have always been welcoming and helpful.

I've heard some people say that the WL is in need of some rennovations. The last time I was there in 03 it seemed to have great upkeep and really is my favorite resort at WDW.

What does everyone else think who has been there recently, is it being kept up well? I would just like to know b/c I'm in the process of planning a trip there for next year as we speak. Thanks.

Place looks great.

Yes! I'm always happy when I'm at Disney!!!

Seriously I spend so much time at the parks when I'm on a Disney vacation that there'd have to be something glaringly wrong for me to not like where I'm staying cause the majority of the time I'm at the hotel I'm sleeping. If I do ever shell out the money to stay deluxe, I'm planning a resort only day so I can fully enjoy it.

We have stayed offsite twice, and onsite once. We will never stay offsite again because of the poor transportation, accomidations, etc. Our first time onsite was at the WL, and we will always do this from now on. Not only are the resorts nicer, but you get more immersed in WDW. pixiedust:

We have stayed offsite once on our first Florida vacation.

Stayed onsite at Caribbean Beach Resort, Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness (tent camping) and Port Orleans Riverside. (many times)

Always had fantastic stays !!

I'm with you. I've been happy with my stay every time while on site. I think I've been on-site about 12 times.
