Has Anyone Been Able To Get Disney Dollars??

I have been to our Disney Store, LI, NY and they have NO DISNEY DOLLARS, after trying several times (they just said, we have none left) They FINALLY fessed up and said, they only get a small amount, and that usually flies out the door to collectors that grab them all up!
I am SO DISAPPOINTED!!
I was told they MAY get some more........ in August???
Are all the Disney stores the same??? OUT OF DISNEY DOLLARS ???

I know!! This is ridiculous! Last year I tried to locate some not on ebay and failed. I think you can send away for Disney Dollars. I will try to remember .

I got some from sunshine rewards, but went to the Disney store here in Baton Rouge last week and they were out.

I am in Long Island also and have never had a hard time getting them. I was planning a trip to Roosevelt Field Mall early next week to pick up some for our upcoming trip. I hope they have them.

I bought Disney Dollars in the Roosevelt Field Mall Disney Store in May and they seemed to have plenty and this is my second time buying them there.

Not sure if the Disney Store in Hicksville has them though not sure where you are in LI.

First, to the boards!!! Now, as to the Disney Bucks, I have always purchased mine at the Smithhaven Mall and have never had a problem.

For those who have trouble finding them, and if you have the time, maybe you could call different Disney Stores within a reasonable distance from where you live and confirm whether they have availability before doing the driving. Just a suggestion.

I live in Long Island, too. I buy them at Roosevelt Field and haven't had any problems. But I haven't purchased any in the last couple of months, though.

I just tried the next closest mall to me, 45 minute ride and they DO have some, but not in all denominations. Calling a relative to see if they can pick it up for me.

My Disney Store is all out and has been for awhile.

this is what i got from the mgr at my disney store. any disney store that is closing had to send back all of their supply of disney dollars and gift cards. only those who are still going to be open will still have them. i have been trying to search online where i can just buy them, and nothing. i know in disneyland we were able to go to the bank they have on main st to trade money in for disney dollars...not sure about disneyworld.

Oh MAN!!!! I wish I would have known this last week!! I just traded in my remaining disney dollars left over from our vacation last week. If I would have known, I would have traded them with you. Good luck finding them. Maybe the Disney merchandising # can help you? Not sure, but they might be able to send you some.

First off..Hey to all you in long island! Just hearing talk aout Smithhaven mall makes me think of my high school and college years!

Second...My disney store, that I work at, has them. We jsut got in some more recently. Is your Disney store one of them closing? They won't get anymore if it is.

Maybe someone on here, or someone you know, can pick some up for you.

I've bought them many times and have never had any trouble. They always seem to have alot and at least 2 different characters to choose from.

Before our trip this past May my sister bought some for my oldest daugther to have as her very own spending money and she was able to purchase them at our local Disney Store here in MD. I've never heard of a store running out of them. WOW

Are you plan on using them during a upcoming visit? Cuz if they're for you instead of someone else (like a gift) than why not wait till you get to Disney and get some then. I bought some at the front desk at the Wilderness Lodge for my daugther. I'm sure you could even score some at Guest services in DTD Marketplace.

No because if the store is closing, they had to send back the DD to homebase weeks ago. Most of the time it's because they are on order and haven't been received yet. I know that happens a lot at the store where I work. Recently we were out of gift cards and DD, which was really upsetting for the guests and for us!

My best advice is just to call ahead to the store you are planning on going to, then you won't have to make a trip if they are all out!

Is there somewhere on the internet or 800 # to order them. My Disney Store has never had them. I've asked them several times and no one even knew what they were.

You may be able to call the Disney merchandising line [NOSPAM, use the at sign here] 1-407-363-6200. They may be able to sell you some but I think the limit is $25 USD per transaction.
