I am severly emetophobic, and am terrified to get on the rides because I am scared someone will throw up on me, and I was wondering, what rides have you guys throw up on??

And do you think it was motion sickness, heat etc??

And does it usually happen on the ride or after you get off of the ride??

** Thankfully, I went prior to my emetopobia becoming fullblown again and was able to enjoy the parks without fear, but during my honeymoon on my second trip back, it had become an issue. When I get on the rides,I try to sit in the back away from kids, and thankfull stuff like nemo and haunted mansion it can be me and hubby only.

I never did but the 1st time DS and I rode Mission Space, this was before they had the calmer version. A man (about 60ish) puked. He used his bag.
It was really gross though, but I did feel bad for him. He tried to hand the bag to the CM on the way out, and the CM said UHH there's a garbage can over there. :confused3

Wow..I have that same problem! I thought I was the only one who was paranoid about that. It would cause me to avoid rides too.
So, is the 'lighter' version of Mission Space okay for most people?

No, we have never done that. However, this past summer on Kali, some guy came very, very close to losing it. Thank goodness we were at the very end, and he was able to get out quickly. I felt so sorry for him, though. He was trying so hard to keep it contained.

I have never seen anyone get sick on a ride, but it does happen. It's something that really doesn't bother me anymore. After having two kids, who occasionally got sick, you just deal. Small children really cannot predict it or warn anyone, so it can and does happen occasionally. You really sit away from kids just "in case", on the off chance, they get sick? A lot of things can cause it and it's not something anyone can control. If you ever have children, this is something you will have to deal with.

Honestly, I've seen people throw up in other places, like malls. It's just a fact of life.

My DD peed her pants on the Tower of Terror. She insisted on riding this ride. But ,she didn't throw up. I had to run through the park and find panties and a dress to buy. Very expensive at the parks.lol. We now laugh and believe me it is a memory that we will not soon forget. She is telling me to tell you that she was only 4. :goodvibes

No, I have never seen anyone throw-up on the rides. Hopefully I never do!:scared: It is not the deposit itself, it is the smell that would get me.

I have come close on Body Wars...Now I just don't ride it. Please remember that most rides are short enough that people can "hold on" to their lunch until the ride is over and they are in a restroom or alone. I speak from experence!

I came close on Star Tours (and sitting outside on the curb on Star Tours).

We were just there over Christmas. We had just gotten off the bus at Epcot and were heading to the gate when all of a sudden a boy in front of us threw up on the sidewalk. He was walking along and out of nowhere lost his breakfast.

My son was about 14 and riding ToT for the first time. He totally ruined my fun by insisting he was going to throw up from the moment we started rising. He must've said it six times during the ride and I believed him and was in utter terror of it going all over me since I was next to him. As a teacher, I know when kids tell me, it's usually too late because they've been too hesitant, embarrassed, etc. to let me know before it's ready to "relocate" so to speak.:sad2: :scared: :upsidedow Well, it never happened....much to my relief!! Next time we went I made him wait for us at the exit! :thumbsup2

My sister "blew Chunks" on Mission Space. They had to clean the place she was sitting in.

So for Christmas I bought her the Mission Space pin. :lmao: She loves it!!:thumbsup2

I've never actually seen anyone throw up at Disney. If it's going to happen though, I think it's most likely going to be on one of the motion simulators (Star Tours, Mission: Space, Body Wars) or spinning rides (Tea Cups, Primeval Whirl).

I've witnessed two incidents, the first a kid got off Dinosaur and threw up near the stairs. By the time I got there, the mess was covered in saw dust, but the poor boy was still standing there. The second time, I was in the HP employees section of Mission Space and a boy came running in with his father and we could hear him throw up from outside the bathroom. I then went on Mission Space myself and felt woozy for about three hours.

I've never seen anyone blow chunks on a ride nor have I ever ralphed. I suffer from motion sickness and shouldn't ride Primal Swirl, the Teacups or Mission Space (wild). I came close one time after riding the wild version of Mission Space. We were riding the bus back to our resort and I don't know how I made it without upchucking.:crazy2: I have ridden the weinie version of Mission Space with no ill effects.

woops made a mistake this was supposed to be a reply to someone...sorry!!

UGH!!! Body Wars...I almost lost it myself on there....I now avoid that ride (and all simulators- I love the aerosmith coaster as well as all other coasters tho...which doesn't make lot of sense, but whatev!!) at all costs!! I won't even geton soarin because of body wars.

Body Wars was the closest I ever came, and that was when I was 21 and did not get car sick or motion sick.

Oddly enough, 2 trips ago, the kid sitting in front of us (teenager actually) lost his lunch while were exiting the Indiana Jones stunt show. Luckily I was the only one in my family that saw it, it was not pleasant.

No, but my DD has peed on one LOL! It was Alien Encounter BEFORE the ride even started. I was horrified...she was just too excited about everything to tell me she HAD to go.

I think the older we get the worse spinny rides get. I tried Mission Space (before there was an option) AFTER a drink at Akershus in Norway and a margarita in Mexico. We were starting to drink around the world. Boy was THAT stupid!!!!!! No puking but they say I was green! :rotfl:
