This will be our first time to the world. We will be staying at the CSR from 12/2-12/11. Plus we have a two day drive just to get there. Has anybody used the Laundry Services if so whats the cost. I just dont feel like doing laundry for hours at a time while on vacation. Any info would be appreciated.:laundy: :wizard:

It only takes 90 minutes to do the laundry, and the facilities are by the pools, so you could swim while the clothes wash and dry. With it being $2 to wash and $2 to dry, I seriously can't imagine what the laundry service would cost.

I agree with the previous poster. It's kinda relaxin' to do the laundry. Get a snack and enjoy some quiet conversation with the family.

I have used it a couple of times; but mostly for drycleaning. I did the regular clothes at the hotel laundry and it's really not a big deal- I do it in the afternoon when everyone is swimming or napping and I take a good book and get a cocktail from the pool bar!

If you don't want to do your own laundry, there are plenty of fluff and fold services in the area that charge by the pound. You drop it off and pick it up either the next day or if you drop it off early you can get it that evening. Certainly cheaper than in house laundry service.

I agree. We have been using a wash & fold for that is located about 5 minutes away from Disney for the last ten years. We pay between $20 and $25 for a huge bag (sweatshirts, jeans, etc) of laundry.

I agree - do the laundry while you're at the pool. I bring a baggie of dryer sheets in my luggage!

Disney laundry service = $$$$$$$$$

Sherry,
who do you use, if you dont mind me asking.

Last year the day before we were leaving the Grand Floridian (we had a cruise after our week in Disney) we filled out the slip of paper and threw all the stuff into the bag. Left it in the room and went to a park for the day. Later that night when we got back all the stuff was clean and ironed hanging in the closet or for underwear in a box on the bed. It was very convenient.

When we travel and need to do laundry (long vacation or emergency due to a stain) we only use the hotel laundry service. In terms of time it takes to do our own laundry (wash, dry and iron) or packing it up driving to another place and then picking it up, the price is definately worth it to us.

Would you happen to know if the machines take coins? Or just dollar fed?

Thanks! (Have a lot of US coins in a baggie I will be bringing with me!):rotfl:

Quarters only last I knew.

I agree with the swim/laundry theory. I bring along my own detergent I bought from Target for $1 and dryer sheets in my luggage to keep my clothes smelling fresh and a few Shout! Color Catchers in case I need to mix lights & darks. I also have those collapsable laundry baskets to keep my room tidy as the days go by to carry my laundry and they take up no room in our suitcase.

Not at all. We use Majestic Cleaners & Laundry at 11941 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL - (407) 239-4460‎. If you decide to use them, I hope you are as pleased with them as we are. :)

I suppose if you can afford to go on a cruise AND DW all at once, then you can afford to pay the laundry service!!;)

Send everything out for dry cleaning. They bring it back in boxes and hang up everything else while you are out.
