Has anybody been to Wildwood, NJ this summer?

The fried oreos are to die for and believe me they'll take a couple years off your life.
As far as the fried Twinkies I was a little disappointed. The cream in the middle virtually disappeared due to the heat of frying. It basically resulted in a funnel cake covered funnell cake. BTW, I'm not complaining that much, who wouldn't love a funnel cake covered funnell cake? My idea on how to perfect the fried Twinkie would bee to freeze them, that way the cream filling would survive the frying.

LOL!! Obviously you've given this some thought....

We just drove through Wildwood to see all the recent changes. It was really cool.

As for Ocean City boardwalk, I've been there at least 5 or 6 times this summer, and I've never thought it seemed "seedy." I haven't, however, been there very late at night - maybe it gets worse then.

Did the Silver Bullet last year and that was great! I'm not a big Wildwood fan (not really into amusement rides if they are not WDW!), I am heading to Cape May in late Sept and doing a whale watch boat ride.

Have a good time everyone!

I agree...the OC boardwalk is as mild as they come?????? Must have been somewhere else.

Janice, we were down last year in Sept. and we had the hurricane also.....that wasn't much fun.

We were in Wildwood a week and a half ago. Played skee-ball, had Mac's pizza, it was raining, but it was still fun. There's lots of new buildings going up in Wildwood proper.

Bobbi:boat:

I spent almost every summer of my childhood at the Jersey Shore:D My Grandmother had a house on the bay in Avalon, and 2 of my uncles had hotels in Wildwood. I haven't been since I was about 12:( Do they still have the tram cars on the boardwalk( I can still hear that recording..... " Watch the tram cars please, watch the tram cars")?
