Has any one stayed at the HYATT?

I am sorry, but in order for DCL to transport your luggage from the Hyatt to the port, you must either purchase DCL transfers or pay for just the baggage service. The cost of just the baggage transfer service is $24 for the first 6 pieces and $4 for each bag after that.

DCL is getting more strict on this.

Tracey, I highly recommend the Hyatt, especially with kids. The pool is great and usually not that crowded. (Last two times we had it to ourselves!) The rooms are nice and comfortable. The kids and I (even hubby) like to get a runway view, sit out on the balcony and watch planes. If the kids get bored there are plenty of shops and eateries in the terminal to occupy them. Hyatt has become our Orlando vacation tradition!!

Thanks for the replies! I'm sure my boys would LOVE watching the planes. I think this looks like the way to go for us.

Luckymommyx2 -- Can you book a runway view room or is it a request?

I think we will also go with the DCL transfers. It just sounds much more convenient.

I put in a request when I booked on-line. I followed it up with a call to the hotel itself two days before checking in. They have always been able to accomadate my requests--very friendly staff.

PS> Check out their room service. (It was actually cheaper than the time we ate at Chili's in the terminal and it was better too!) The kids had milkshakes and something off the kid menu while hubby and I had their turkey bagette! UM!

Your welcome--anytime! If you think of any other questions feel free to PM me! Have a great vacation!! :sunny:

Hi everyone! I am just wondering what kind of shops are there? We have to eat lunch, dinner and breakfast while we are at the Hyatt. I know that sometimes you can end up spending a fortune when staying at the airport. What do you think?? Pauline::yes::

You mean other than the two large Disney stores? Universal, Sea World, NASA, a couple book stores, leather shop, Mel Fisher, Ron Jon, just off the top of my head....

We have stayed twice at the Hyatt at MCO before our cruises, and are very glad we did. So convenient after a long journey. My "child" ALSO loved watching the planes from our balcony - even if he is 51yrs old and just got off a 10hr flight!Nat:Pinkbounc
