Has AB lost sight as to what Sea World is all about?

This is just my opinion (please don't unstuff Pooh), but seems AB has lost sight as to what Sea World is all about.
I've lived in FL all my life and remember when SW was just about animals. Now it seems they've joined the mad rush to see who can have the fastest, most popular rides. The animals seem to have taken a back seat.
I was just at the part a week ago and unlike WDW, there was trash everywhere.....no park ee's anywhere to answer questions... and when we did see them, they looked very unhappy. At WDW, castmembers are everywhere....picking up trash, ready to answer questions....always seem to have a smile.
I was going to spend the extra few dollars for a year pass, but after spending the day there, I'll save my money and go find Pooh.
Again.......just my opinion!

I'm surprised, since Sea World has been very clean on my visits. The employees are a mixed group, but most of them seem happy and helpful. Maybe you got them on a bad day?

You could be right Barry Hom!

I hope so because Sea World has always been a favorite.
I'll wait a few months, wait for cooler weather and try again.

Thanks

I think you must have got a bad day. I can't agree on the ride/animals point either. IMHO 2 rides vs dozens of animal exibits doesn't turn SW into a 6 flags, it does give guests an option to change the pace of their visit a little which IMHO is a plus for the guest.
As Barry points out CM's in EVERY park can have an off day, BUT it isn't the CM's that make the mess and drop trash, it's the guests and if a large percentage of the guests choose not to put their trash in the correct place an army of cleaners isn't going to be enough to keep the park spotless.

Frankly I'm happy SW is focussing on rides now. At least it tweaks my interest now and I have a greater desire to visit the park more often. I'm not into animal shows and such and before JTA and Kraken, I never wanted to visit SW. But with these two new rides, I'm willing to pay admission just for these rides and ignore the rest. LOL! :D

I can't believe it!

I've been to SW several times, most recently two weeks ago. It was its usual spotless self. I have often remarked that this is the cleanest park I've ever been in.

I guess you caught them on a bad day....or maybe the winds were howling earlier and lifting trash from the trash cans?

As for the rides, I agree that a few thrill rides don't take away from the main thrust of the park. But I do agree with you (DPooh) that too much of this will be a bad thing. There is no way Sea World can out-Disney WDW or out-thrill Universal. It has its own niche and needs to stay primarily focused on that.

SeaWorld is always spotless when I visit, which is frequently because I do have an annual pass.
