Has a/your child ever embarrassed you?

Not my story but that of friend....

While out shopping with her DD (approx age 4-5 then), she "lost" her daughter in the store for 5 minutes or so. She's running around the store yelling the kid's name, "where are you", etc.... She eventually finds her DD (who had been hiding in a rack of clothes) and she is so relieved to find her she goes running to her saying her name......the child crosses both arms in front of her face and falls to the floor shouting "mommy please don't hit me!". My friend was mortifyed! To top this off, they don't EVER hit this child, they are anti spanking, etc. Where the child came up with this they'll never know.

I can't think of any good ones from my kids at the moment....I'll give it some thought.

This is the first one that comes to mind...We were having dinner with my in-laws one night and my oldest dd was about three at the time. My MIL was making small talk with her and asked what she had for breakfast that day.
DD-"I don't remember, Mommy what do you call them again?"
MIL-"Pancakes? French Toast? Bagel and fruit?...well I'm sure it was healthy, whatever it was because you need vitamins to grow and be big and strong."
DD-"Mommy, what was it?, I can't remember."
And so I replied without looking up from my plate, "They're called Pop Tarts."
I think my MIL just responded with a "I see.."
I was very embarrassed. (Technically it was not my dd that embarrassed me, I was embarrassed I had to admit to my MIL that I had given her such an "unhealthy" breakfast!)

Here's another--I was in a public bathroom stall with my two dd's (about 2 & 3 at the time). The woman next to me had on sandals and must have had something wrong with her toenails. One dd points her finger under the stall and says very loudly, "Mommy, look, someone has raisin toes." Then the two of them start singing "raisin feet, raisin feet, raisin feet...." That was embarrassing!

I don't have kids, but this is funny (not at the moment).

I remember when i was babysitting a little girl and boy. We were going to go watch a movie and for some reason, the little girl lifted her skirt up and moved her butt (she was wearing underwear) onto my leg. She could see that I was getting very embarrased and uncomfortable so she did it again.

I don't remember how I got her to stop.

OH MY these are so FUNNY!!

When our kids were 9 months old we were taking my mother house shopping - we were looking through a model home. This is one of those that they make you take your shoes off as you tour. As we were putting our shoes back on one of our kids urped. (vomited) right into a pair of nice high-heeled shoes. Not one of ours. We headed for the door but the owner saw us leave. We sent my mother back in with tissues to apologize and help clean up as we hid.
