Harry Potter

I personally have a theory about Dumbledores "death." I don't think he's dead. He's the best wizard in the world, he could do some kind of spell to make him appear dead. Why would he do that? So he could chase Voldemort. I think too much. ;)
I think she said that he was dead for good. She said thatthis was because 'the hero always have to go to the end alone.' I thought that killing AD was a bad idea. At least Harry can chat with the portrait.

The Movies were pretty good, yet I had high expectations for the third movie, and I guess i set my expectations a little too high. The Third book was probably my all time favorite book of the series. And when I saw the movie I was really disapointed. Like beyond reasoning. Like I haven't watched the movie in a while, so I don't remember the specifics but I just know i was really dissapointed w/ the movie. :sad2:

My list is this:

Half Blood Prince: Personally, I love it. I cried when Dumby died and yelled when Snape left. And it made my friend eat his words when Malfoy was a deatheater.

Order of the Pheonix: It just made so many things change and it developed Sirius as a character, of course he died...

Goblet of Fire: Wow, the Triwizard tournament just made me cheer, scream, and get a little tear. ;)

Chamber of Secrets: Tells about Voldemort's past, what's not cool about that? ;)

Sorcerer's Stone: It was fine starter book, no real wow factor.

Prisoner of Azkaban: No wow factor at all.

Harry couldn't do the last book alone, so Dumbledore is at least going to channel him via portrait.

Slightly related-
Does anyone else think that www.mugglenet.com has seriously gone down the tubes? They used to be good, reporting news. Now, they consider "Such and such actor who was in the movie (insert OMG!!!!) will be at such and such place!" to be news. It really isn't. Mugglenet has become such a movie fansite.
And their message boards for the so-called news stinks. They obsess over who posts first.
And the thing that really drives me up the wll is how lame they are. Whenever their site is in some kind of poll, they post it as Harry Potter news. It's not! For example, they were in a best site poll with Disney. I can objectively say that the Disney site is better, has more information, and is superior in any possible way. I checked-Disney did not beg its readers for votes. I am just so sick of mugglenet.

I understand what you mean. I think it was very well written though.

Yeah, it had all the things that make stories great, just lacking the ending. I thought that the ending could have been better. Oh well, no sense whining now. ;)

To keep the discussion going, I'll ask a question.

Do you think that Kreacher the house elf will have any importance in the next one?

No. Kreacher had no real "point" rather than telling Harry to go to the Department of Mysteries. (I really really hope that they don't screw that part up in the movie)

It could have had more of a cliffhanger, and therefore it would have been perfect if it was the only book. Enough loose ends were tied up in the first book.

The only way that I can see him coming up again is if RAB turns out to be Regulus Black, in which case Kreacher might know some of the story.

Yeah, I never gave much thought to RAB, rather than when I was having my "me" time back in August...I decided that he will be someone who helps out for a chapter, dies, then talks through a portrait. I have such high expectations.

Are you saying my theory won't work? I doubt it will, but Voldemort is one of those Oh Em Gee, I'm going to get you people. He will get this *RAB*.

I like the theory. I thought that your joke about high expectations was funny.

Eh, I try. ;) Also trying to get another tag...But don't tell the fairy. Keep it on the down low...

I love all the books and the movies. I refuse to believe the rumors about book 7, though. No way J.K. Rowling would make Harry die. That's just bad writing.

I think that Hermione and Ginny are going to die. Sorry, but they seem like they would be the tragets. :confused3:
