Hi all,

Is there an opening date set for the Wizarding World area? Sorry, search is hanging up on me and not returning results. I had heard sometime in 2009?

Thanks!

Nothing concrete has been released. I think the generally consensus is late 2009 to mid 2010.

For those planning their Universal trip NOW for Harry Potter....buy your 7 day ticket now...$85/7 consecutive days. Also, plan to stay onsite...you'll be able to bypass the lines :teeth:

Right...once HP opens, the days of Universal being less crowded than WDW will come to an end. :sad1:

thank goodness for staying onsite for fotl....and you...well, YOU can visit offpeak and not have to worry.... :rolleyes1

So the tickets never expire? That's a great deal!

Thanks for the tip :thumbsup2

The tickets don't expire until 6 days after the day you first use it.

What's the latest on the predicted opening date? What attractions will be in the area? Any photos of the construction?

yes. The expiration date doesn't 'activate' until you activate the ticket (use it for the first time)....tickets are non-expiring until you activate them...including a year from now.

I was at IOA yesterday, all the signs in Lost Continent stated mid 2010.
