Such a silly question! But, does anyone know if A Harry Potter Wand from Olivander's will be a problem to take home in our carry-on luggage? We travel lightly, so have no checked luggage. Would someone say it could be used as a weapon? If anyone's encountered this, please let me know! Or, I'm wondering if they will ship home or if I could mail home from our resort? I know they sell online, "but its not the same, Mom!" If we don't buy one AT Universal. UGH! ;) Thanks! ***** 3 days and counting!!!*****

2 years ago we put it in our carry on, and nothing was said about it. I would not put my gifts in my check in bag. I can't see it as a weapon. It comes in a nice box, which I make my DD put it in when she does not play with it.

An expensive toy, but one my DD wanted and is her reminder.

Have a great time!

I did carry only the trip I bought mine. It wasn't a problem and never get even a second look from TSA.

Oh, one thing. Make sure you leave some room in that carry on. My first trip to the Harry Potter World I was not planning on buying anything, but got sucked in. I round up having to find room for the wand box (no way was I packing just the wand and leaving that box:rotfl:), a large pink pygmy puff, two tshirts, several postcards, and the four small dragons from the Goblet of Fire book (in their boxes so they didn't get broke). I was sure glad I pack light and can pack really tight or some of my clothes would have been staying behind.:rolleyes1

You should be ok as long as you don't use "avada kedavra" on anyone on the plane. ;)
