Harry Potter Tickets? What do they include?

I have never been to any Universal Park before. We are planning on spending a day there in January, and i see that you can buy a one park/one day ticket for around 99$. If we want to see WWOHP, do we buy a ticket for IoA? And if we buy that ticket what other parts of the park are accessible for us to go visit?? TIA!

The one day/one park ticket lets you do everything at Islands of Adventure including Harry Potter. You just won't be able to go to Universal Studios which has Jaws, Men in Black, Revenge of the Mummy, The Simpson's, E.T., Barney, Disaster, Shrek, Jimmy Neutron, Terminator, and other shows and rides. If you get a two park ticket also called a park-to-park ticket you can do both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.

Just check it out. There are better tickets for not that much more money. If one day in that park is really all you want, you'll be good.
