Lucca finished the chapter in her book and stuffed it away in her bag once again. She looked out the window at the smiling faces of new students and parents waving to their children as they boarded the train. Lucca wondered to herself who would be sorted into Gryffindor this year. The crowding of students out in the train walkway had settled some and now only a couple of students were still moving through the alley trying to find a compartment to sit at.

Eliza finished her sketch and put it on the seat next to her. She was hoping she would get to sit alone the rest of the ride, but all the seats were beginning to fill up, with old and new students, so she figured that she would end up having to sit with someone.

Soon everyone had got onto the train and everyone was waving goodbye to their families. George's parents had already left so he stayed sat down and started to read the book he got earlier. The compartment had filled quite quickly with a few friends.

The train began to inch forward, and still noone sat with Eliza. 'Maybe I'll be lucky she thought. Eliza didn't really have any friends at hogwarts, but she hoped to make some new ones this year.

Lucca sat quietly in her seat as the train began to take off to her new home. She turned to the compartment door just as a young blonde headed girl slide it open quitely. "Um, if you don't mind, could I maybe sit here. Everywhere else is full." The girl said quite scared as she looked at Lucca. Lucca looked at the seat across from her than back to the girl. "Doesn't look like anyone is sitting there. Come in." She smiled as the girl sighed with relief and began to pull her luggage into the compartment. "Do you mind if my brother has a seat too, he cannot find a place to sit?" The girl asked and Lucca nodded. The girl hurried out of the compartment and around 5 minutes later was pulling her brother into the compartment as well. "I'm Caroline." The girl spoke. "And this is my brother Charlie." She said motioning to her brother who has just as blonde hair as she. "We're twins." She added.

Eliza once again pulled out her book and read, seeing as there was nothing else to do. She was now hoping that someone would sit with her, she was actually getting a little lonely. 'Hopefully someone will sit with me soon' she thought. She didn't want to get up and find a nw seat, becasue that would almost be pointless, since almost all the seats were full.

George was getting bored sitting in this compartment. Sure he knew the people but he didn't get on with them well.

Eliza threw the book back in her bag. This was going to be a long train ride, as bored as she was.

After what seemed like an hour, but was only 10 minutes, George got up to stretch and walk along the train. On his way down, he saw a girl sitting looking terribly bored. He recognised her as Eliza, whom he'd done a few practical lessons with last year. She was in the same boat as him so he went to go and talk to her.

"Hey George, how are you?" Eliza said when she saw George sit down across from her

"I've been OK. It's been so boring on this train so far though. How about you" George answered

Lucca and the twins started chatting away about the upcoming year. Both of them were first years and terribly confused about their classes. Lucca spent her time explaining the classes, teachers, and everything there was to know about Hogwarts. Charlie and Caroline were looking through their schoolbooks as Lucca stared out the window into the cloudy sky. It looked as though rain would begin in not too long.

"I feel the same, very bored." Eliza said. She quickly pulled her sketch pad over to her and closed it. She was very aprehensive (sp?) about her art. "So, are you trying out for quidditch?"

"Na, I struggle to fly a broom" said George. He noticed rain tricking down the window pane and hoped it wouldn't be raining when they get there. He always felt strangly wet while in the Great Hall when it rained.

"Me, too. I'm not very good on a broom" Eliza said. She too noticed the rain coming down. She hoped they would soon be there. "So, what are you hoping for this year, George?"

"I hope to do a whole lot better in Potions" he said wincing at the memory of what happened in one of the lessons. Everyone in the room smelt of wet paint for 4 days...

"Oh, sounds good." Eliza knew what he meant. Everyone in school had heard about that.

The twins began to doze off as they were reading the daily prophet Lucca had let them borrow from her bag. Soon they were fast asleep and the rain outside began to pour down. It was a nice sound Lucca thought as she stood up and yawned. She needed to move around so she decided to walk around and see if she could find anyone she knew. A small lady was walking down the walkway with the trolley selling assorted goods. Lucca stopped her and picked up some candy licorice and sat it down beside the twins. She figured it would be a nice treat for them and she began searching through compartments. She then came upon one where she saw 2 students she recognized from Defense against the dark arts and Charms class.

"Lucily, I found a 'beginners guide to Potion Making' book while in Flourish & Blotts so hopefully i'll be able to read that this year"

*sorry guys I have to go, but I should be on later*
