Harry Potter ride question

Hello,I have two questions: first, which ride in Harry Potter area restricts riders by being too big? And, is it still that way, or have they made changes to the ride to allow bigger riders? My hubby is 6ft 3in and weighs about 270lbs and we are a little concerned he won't be able to ride if we decide to go.
TIA

You are probably thinking of Forbidden Journey. Larger riders had some problems fitting in the restraint systems for about the first six months or so of operation until some seats were modified to accommodate. It is not nearly as major an issue now, and I expect your DH will probably make it just fine. Test seats are available just outside the castle gates and again as you approach the loading area.

Dragon Challenge also has modified seats in Rows 3 and 6 if memory serves. Hulk over at Marvel Superhero Island is similar.

Somewhere on here there is a long thread with lots of specific measurements of successful and unsuccessful riders.

Thank you so much, he is mostly interested in Forbidden Journey and Dueling Dragons!!

Glad to help! :thumbsup2

Here is the other thread I mentioned you may want to check out: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2489210. Remember that the seats were not modified for months after FJ opened, so early posts are no longer indicative of the success or failure of larger riders. Might be best in this case to "open at the close". ;)

And Dueling Dragons is technically gone--it's called Dragon Challenge now. Same ride, but the queue I'm told is a shell of it's former self--I never saw the old one. If anyone in your party did, prepare to be let down.
