I read one book in around 1-2 days. That is the first time. When I re read them it takes around 4-5 days (because it is not as thrilling the 2nd time). But that is good, because I don't take the books to school and read them...sooo....

Yes.

Mark my words..I will have all 6 Harry Potter books completed on or around July 21st..

Well if you did non stop i 'spose.
But you see.. I have a life.
LOL Jk.

I might read the half blood prince again.
I forget what happens. >_<
I might just read a summary online.

I could do it.I usually finish one in a day when they come out.

Me too. I sit in my room, parents bring me meals, and they KNOW not to bother me.
If they enter my room, they might come out with missing limbs.

I could read the first three in one or two days.
The other three, I could do in one day each (nonstop reading... xD)

I just finished re-reading the sixth book.
I kind of started crying when Lupin found out Dumbledore died.
Could you imagine his life? 2 out of 3 of his friends are dead. One of the few people who gave him much in life and accepted him (Dumbledore) died. And he's got the Werewolf thing that's always kind of bothered him
.

i know this is kind of depressing (but not like killing tons of people is upbeat) but do you think that he commits suicide?? cuz that's what you kinda made me think about.

SAME HERE!!! LOL

Yea, I can do it. I'm the kind of person that when I start a book, I won't stop until I finish it. I usually read whenever I have spare time and can finish a book in 1-2 days depending on the length..

I'll have to buy the first book this weekend..wish me luck..

That'd be sad if Lupin did, but it would bring a nice twist to the story.

I read the sixth in a day and a half, but there were points where I wasn't reading the book (I was at someone's cottage). Harry Potter is the only book I usually do this for.
The fifth took me a week because I was slow in grade 4 or 5.
When I get the seventh (first thing in the morning), nobody is taking me away from that book. FOR ANYTHING.

Lol, as that's not happening, unless we get very lucky xD
Although, we may have to head down to Ottawa as my brother may go to school there. Meaning = vacation. And I can't read in a car very well, though 20 hours in car would give me plenty of time to finish the book.

I'm going to head over at like 9 or 10. There's no point to stay overnight, there are always like 5083958309 copies available at the Superstore or Zellers even if it's a popular book.

Ehh, I can't read in cars..it makes me feel sick..

Also I agree..I see no point in waiting overnight for a book. People act like they won't get a book unless they do. I walked into Target at like 4pm the day the 6th book came out and they had shelves lined with them..

bhaha. i used to like not pay attention to the books long enough to remember what they said so i used to have to read them with book tapes.

and yes hil, that will so happen to you.

it's the magic of harry potter. :wizard:

This thread reminds me of a video I saw on YouTube a while back...

On the night the 6th book came out, he had already read the ending and he drove by random bookstores and yelled "HEY! Snape kills Dumbledore!"

xDDD

IMO the point of going to a release party at a bookstore is so I can have lots of conversations with other people who like the books as much as me. Of course I could get the book the next day and avoid hanging with other fans but I don't see the fun in that.

That would be fun.
If I weren't shy, I'd totally do that.
I'm probably going to end up reading the end first.
I did that last time, although it didn't tell me much (I read only the last page)

True, I never thought of it that way..

And yea replacing Daniel in the Harry Potter movies would be a mistake..

Just an update..I bought the first book yesterday and finished the first book yesterday. Now I'm on the second book..

i just hope this doesnt end like soue that ending was horable and the boudlairs should have done something to awnser the questians

I am rereading the books. I just finished the Prisoner of Azkaban and am ready for the Goblet of Fire. My favorite is Order of the Phoenix for some reason.

I'm gonna start rereading the series when June rolls around. I should finish by the time the seventh book comes out, so June is a good time to start for me.
