Hoping I can be pointed in the right direction here as Universal is completely new to my family and I. We are heading back to WDW August 30th leaving Sept 4th and staying at the Polynesian. This is our 4th family trip here (WDW) so we have our touring plans down pretty well! There are 6 of us-me, husband and kids ages 12,10,7, and 2. We are taking a one day excursion to IOA to mainly experience Harry Potter- and anything else we can fit in. We are going for our 10 year old who finished the entire series by the time she was 9 and is "slightly" HP obsessed;) Anyway...in terms of rides...they like coasters even the 7 year old(loves TOT etc...)
Now my questions...is there a site that has "touring plans" for IOA and mainly Harry Potter? Do you think it is feasible to do HP and IOA in a whole day-the park closes at 7PM the day we are planning to go-Thursday September 2nd(hopefully to avoid any potential Labor Day crowds)? Also in terms of transportation from WDW to Univ. since we are staying on site at WDW and use Disney's transportation...we won't have a car. If we take Mears or rent a shuttle/van service...will I need a carseat for my 2 year old or do they come equipped or what???
Thanks for any help/info...it is appreciated!!

If you are just focusing on IOA and there are no outrageous waits, you should be able to do IOA in one day. Pre-Potter, we did IOA 1 day in the summer (9-6 due to shuttle restraints) and got on all the major attractions (no FOTL). It was DW and myself.

I am sorry but what is "FOTL" stand for???:)
Thanks!!!

It means express line access.

It used to be called Front of the Line (hence the FOTL) but isn't called that anymore.

I think you will have to contact Mears about a car seat. They can probably provide one.

Front of the line

Universal also calls this Express Pass and unlike Disney's Fast Pass, these passes are not free. If you want them, you purchase them. Rates vary on the time of year. The more busy the higher the rate.

True, or you can stay at an onsite resort and get unlimited express pass for your stay.

I'm headed down to IOA next Tuesday, July 27th. I'm staying offsite. Does anyone know about this line that's forming just to get into the WWofHP in the morning? How has it been currently first thing in the morning getting into WWofHP say about 9am at park opening for the general public? I've read other posts that IOA Staff is giving out timed returns to the land and that's just to enter. But you still have to wait on the lines for the three rides. These return tickets sound vaguely familiar to anyone whose had experience with Disney Fastpass.
