If this has been mentioned already elsewhere I apologize. Seems like this was inevitable, if it's true. I could easily see Poseidon's adventure being turned in to a Chamber of Secrets attraction.

I don't agree that the Lost Continent was ever "meh" but other than that this is a pretty exciting possibility. It'll be interesting to see what they do next.

Yea, I've been hearing murmurings of this as well. I HIGHLY doubt anything would be done by summer 2012 though. Honestly, I think they could take up some of the room over in Jurassic Park. That land seems like a waste of space to me.

Having not been yet, I can't really comment on the other "lands" that they would take over, but speaking on behalf of a huge Potter fan, I can definitely see them expanding the park. Hp nearly deserves its whole own park, there's so much you could do with it!

Considering how well the Harry Potter expansion did for Universal... I'm not suprised.

One area I really hope is part of any expansion would be a character meal. It just seems like such a natural. Or at least walk-around characters for photos.

I understand that Rowling didn't allow this, but things like this can always be renegotiated.

For me, that would take away the magic of Hogsmeade and make it feel so fake and theme park-ish. What I love the most of about the WWoHP is that it really is like muggles are being allowed to visit Hogsmeade. There were conversations about it at Infinitus(Potter convention) and on various mainstream Potter sites and it was a pretty unanimous vote of no characters in the WWoHP each time it was brought up.

Plus, JKR was pretty adament that there would never be walkaround characters/meals ect and I'd bet my life savings that there will not be any renegotiating with her on the subject. I've been a Potter fan since day one and knowing what I do about JKR, once she says no she means no and that is that. She already gave a little leeway to allow a non-cannon Ollivander's auxillary shop to be made in Hogsmeade for the park, and she commented that decision was enough to cause her distress. Having her characters go around smiling for "muggle pictures" while people eat would probably send her to the nearest bottle of prozac.
