is anyone else not into the Harry Potter books and/or dont understand whats so good about them. I know people like the mystery and suspense with them but..i dont know..im probably the only one who doesnt find them interestting.

Sorry, my whole family has been up all night reading the latest book!! We're at the opposite end of the spectrum. We can't understand anyone NOT liking the books.

yeah, im a mixture of everyone here....im not a die-hard fan and i read the books, but i rather go and watch the movie instead of reading...lol...just cause i'm lazy. but yeah, i like bboth the movies and the books,

ok..i dont know whats so good about harry potter.. i think itz personally all stupid.. theres better books and movies if u want a good mystery and suspense..the only time i have seen the movie (the first 1) was when i was bored n there was nothing else on but the minute i put it on like 5 minutes later i was out like a light.. so hey i guess it comes in handy for sumthing .. if u cant sleep put on harry potter hahaha...

I read them but I am not obsessed or anything.
i had to pretend to be this weekend because i work at a children's bookstore but I would never stay up all night in line for them or anything.

I love the books. But I love to read. I read everything I can get my hands on. Seriously i read shampoo bottles and everything! I think they're very well written and fun to read. I get lost in stories like 'Harry Potter' The movies are alright, but people that see the movies and don't read the books judge the books when really they're different. Parts are left out and the story is told somewhat differently. The 3rd movie was the worst, and that's my favourite book of the series, for example.

well..i just get turned off by it. everyones like "HARRYPOTTERHARRYPOTTERHARRYPOTTER!!!" and when you say you dont read the books it's the end of the world. "OMG WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU!? HARRY POTTER IS THE BEST THING SINCE THE INVENTION OF THE WHEEL!!"...right. look, the story. is okay. but it kind of. gets old...i mean its almost routine. "oh..time for another school year...i bet nothing out of the ordinary dealing with evil wizards/monsters/crazed people will happen."...yeah. dont get me wrong, if i were the author (and yes forgive me for being so uneducated in harry potterism) id be having a hay day with all the love/worship/money rolling in. i know its every writers dream to be recognized and have people stand hours on end in lines just for your next angst filled book...but. yeah...im gonna drop it before i have someone planning my death..-_0

haha I read them over and over becuase I always have to read something. I read ingredients and spanish things even if I can't pronounce them or understand.

me too. i can't fall asleep at night without reading something. i read shaving cream cans in the shower

I don't like the harry potter movies as much. I don't think they're as good as the books, I guess because a lot of stuff is left out. But that's just my opinion.
