Hi I am posting on this board as my daughter has many sensory issues and I thought I might get a better response here than the universal board.
We are travelling on Wednesday and would like to see Harry Potter and also go to Universal.
We had difficulties with the GAC (or universal equivilent) last time and it looks like the system has changed again.
However, would I be right in thinking that the card is of limited use in HP anyway?
Also is the HP a full day or is it only a part of the day? There does not look like there is much to occupy a fully day.
And finally, can you use one ticket for both parks on the same day. I don't think I can stand going for two days?

Om people have posted, Universal's Guest Asssistance Card has been of limited use in the Harry Potter area.

I don't know if Universal has the equivalent of a single day park hopper, but when we we looking into Universal for an upcoming trip, they had single day one park tickets and multi day park hoppers.

We've recently returned from a trip that included both Univeral Studios and Islands of Adventure. Both my sister and myself were in wheelchairs/scooters and we had an assistance card. The card was most helpful if you are planning on riding the rides, especially the ones that are most popular. I have severe motion sickness issues and didn't do many rides but my sister rode all the rides.

The card she got at Guest Services allowed her to go immediately through the express lane if the wait time was less than 10 minutes. If it was more than 10 minutes, they gave her a time to return and she then used the express entrance. It was also noted on her card that she could not use stairs. The return time was helpful especially on the Harry Potter Forbidden Journey ride as that can have long wait times. It allowed us to walk around and see the shops while waiting for her time.

The issue I had with the Hogsmeade area is that since I was on a scooter, it was very difficult to maneuver in the area. And I didn't get into any stores. The area is very small and compact and the stores are small and always crowded. Not Universal's fault - the area was designed that way at the specific instruction of JK Rowling. It makes the area look so authentic but it is a challenge for those of us who are less mobile.

I will say if you are going to Universal and only going to the Wizarding World, I think you're missing out on what else is there. If you go with an open mind there is a lot to enjoy about the Univeral parks. We loved them.
