Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey modified for larger guests

With the money and time they put into this area/attraction, this should have never been an issue.

I am glad they are fixing it though.

Wow. I find that article written quite offensively.

I am glad that Universal is finally addressing the problem of their ride. But the article is written like Universal was not at fault. But that it was the fault of unusually large people for not being able to fit the ride.

I am sorry, but from all account, regular sized people were not able to ride the ride. If you are 220lbs, you would expect to be able to ride. This situation was clearly caused by Universal.

And the article should have be written "Universal finally addressing their problem"

Well it IS from Fox news. Enough said.

I agree.

It as actually an Associated Press article, enough said.

Here is a couple more links to the same article in case you have a problem with Fox news:

The ABC one is even worse it starts with "Obese roller coaster enthusiasts rejoice"

Me too!! I haven't gotten past "butterbeer bellies" and I'm already offended. Tsk tsk, Fox and AP. :sad2:

TELL me about it! And how about the fanboy down at the bottom who has pledged to lose weight--not to get healthy, not to solve some health problem he may or may not encounter later in life--but to fit on a roller coaster that never should have been a problem in the first place! Let's not forget, there are some taller people out there who have no weight problem and still can't fit on the ride.

And at the risk of sounding pretentious, no, you won't have to be stuck in line behind me during your upcoming Universal vacay...but i do hope you have tons of fun :)

I definitely agree with Pete on Universal's handling of WWOHP, it has been an absolute clusterffff.

Some of those comments have to be some of the most offensive things I've read in awhile. So sad that in this day and age it's still okay to bash people for being overweight. Just horrible!

I am personally glad they are fixing what should have never been an issue, and horrified that the AP(Fox didn't write it people it is an AP wire story) feels it is ok to trash people based on their weight. It is one of the last true forms of discrimination not to raise a public outcry, and I fail to see why it is still ok.

I'm no fan of Fox news, but what does that even mean? Joy Behar was having great fun with this story on her CNN show last night. She thought it was hysterical and called Universal a Fatty Enabler.
