It's been a while since my last part but have finally found a bit of time to carry on from where I left off last month
Partners in crime - Me (Allan), DW (Carole) and DS (Oliver 12).
2 weeks at Vistana Resort followed by a week in St Pete Beach at the Sirata Beach.
This was our first trip to America and months of planning had gone into it - much of it thanks to these boards.
Tuesday 5th August.
We had planned to be up early and go to Magic Kingdom, but as we had to try and sort something out with the room, we were much later than planned.
Talking of the room, we were offered a different suite but as it wasnt much better than the original one, we decided to stay put and keep out of it as much as possible.
First stop at MK was the Emporium to buy a cap for me. Tried to pay with my Alliance & Leicester card, but for some reason it was declined, so I used my other Visa card with no problems
.
Made our way to BTMR and got fast pass ticket. Splash mountain was a 60 min wait so decided not to bother.
Did the Haunted Mansion pretty good, although I think the Alton Towers house is better. Back to BTMR and Im sorry to say that although we enjoyed it, I think the one in DLP is more exciting.
After a violent thunderstorm that seemed to last forever, we moved onto Tomorrow Land. We did, Buzz Lightyear twice, Space Mountain, Extra terrorestrial Alien Encounter, Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Astro Orbiter enjoyed all of them.
By now we were all feeling a bit jet lagged so made our way back down Main Street.
Stopped to buy some sweets and other bits and bobs. Tried my A&L card again, still no joy with it, then, to my horror I realised my Visa card was no longer in my wallet. I had only used it once at the Emporium. Fortunately Carole had her card with her and used that. The cast member suggested that we try City Hall in the hope that my card had been handed in.
An anxious wait hopping from one foot to the other until I was finally seen and much to my relief, they had the card. Panic over!
Carole was feeling pretty ill by the time we got home (having got lost a couple of times) But we finally got into bed hoping for better for the next day at MGM.
Will carry on later.
