Harrison Ford

Yeah, I agree with his excellent portrayal of Alex Cross. I have read all of James Patterson's books involving Alex Cross and I had quite a different picture of what Alex would look like...I was thinking more like Denzel Washington. When I saw that Freeman was going to be Alex Cross, I had my doubts:confused3 but he did an awesome job:)

Forgot to add, I LOVED Harrison Ford in Six Days and Seven nights....it was nice to see his comedic side...I love that movie

I actually saw the movies (Kiss the Girls and Along came a Spider) before reading any Patterson books, so for me, the picture I had of Alex Cross was already established as Morgan Freeman.

"Dr. Jones, you listen me you live longer!"

OP... Did you like "Frisco Kid"? :rolleyes1

Sorry, I didn't catch your question until a few minutes ago. I had to do a look-up on IMDB on the Frisco Kid. I was going to say that I had never heard of it, but the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking that maybe I did see it a long time ago. Unfortunately, whether I've seen it or not, I don't remember (know) anything about it, so I really can't say if I liked it or not.
Harrison Ford has done a lot of movies, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were one or two that I wouldn't like. As others have mentioned, the Mosquito Coast wasn't one of his best. I did like Blade Runner though.

Han will always be my favorite.

Princess Leia: Why, you stuck up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf-herder.
Han Solo: Who's scruffy-looking?

I did not like The Mosquito Coast
Ditto! I hated his character in that.

I love Harrison Ford and Morgan Freeman, Tom Hanks, and a few others. Gene Hackman is a great actor, but his characters tend to get on my nerves. lol
I think Forest Whitaker is going to be another great one.

Oh as for which movie Harry's been in. I like Indiana Jones, and especially the one with Sean Connery.

Indiana Jones
Han Solo
and Jack Ryan

But I would probably give the nod toward Indiana Jones.

I actually love him in all of these roles and cannot choose one over the other. His JR character is so different from Indiana and Han. I am SO looking forward to the 4th Indiana Jones movie.

I actually did not like the movie Firewall, nor did I particularly like his acting in the movie. It all seemed too "forced".

Hands down my favorite one is Regarding Henry. He was excellent in that movie!

I think my favorite Harrison Ford movie would be Mosquito Coast. The actor I enjoy most is Kevin Kline. No matter what movie he's in, I end up loving it. I think Kevin and I have the same taste in movies.

Oy gvelt! Or however it's spelled :) That movie was hysterical, especially the way Harrison Ford downplayed his role. I remember seeing it when it came out and that was a favorite saying in our hose for a while. Thanks for making me smile with a memory! :)

No fans of "Working Girl"?

That's definitely the role I liked Ford best in aside from Indiana Jones, Han Solo, and Jack Ryan.

is one of the few actors that no matter what movie or role he does I like it. There are a lot of great actors, but normaly they have a movie or role that I don't care for, but I really can't think of any Harrison Ford movies or roles that I don't like.
So I guess the question is, which is your favorite Harrison Ford movie or roll?
Mine would probably be a toss up between three:

Indiana Jones
Han Solo
and Jack Ryan

But I would probably give the nod toward Indiana Jones.

Just an aside - when I used to live in LA, one of my neighbors was his personal assistant. She said that he was a wonderful person and even treated her like family.

Yes! I love when he's changing in his office and all the women start applauding. And when Melanie Griffith's character refuses to go out with him.

Tess: You know, maybe I just don't like you.
Jack: Me? Naaah!

And then the elevator doors close. I love that scene.
