Harrisburg, PA Parking Question

We have tickets to catch the bus to NYC from the Harrisburg PA bus/train station while we are on vacation later this month. My question since I have never been to Harrisburg PA, what is the parking like? We are leaving very early in the morning (around 6:00am) and not arriving back to town till 10:45pm. The train station is telling me that the nearest parking garage that will be open during my time frame is 7 blocks away. I'm assuming it is like any other big city in that you have to watch yourself, but will I be okay walking this 7 blocks?
