I searched before posting and most of the post where old.
question, what is the cost of a first hair cut? Have a 20 month old granddaughter.
how much is just pixie dust? Grandson 6 has short hair so probably just need dusting
do we need a reservation or can we just wing it?
going first week in Feb hopefully low crowd

The cost of a first haircut is $25 plus tax and tip and includes Mickey ears, a certificate, and a keepsake lock of your child's hair. A regular child's haircut is $18 plus tax and tip.
I would recommend making a reservation just to be safe. You will probably be able to do a walk up, but having a reservation cuts down on how long you spend in line.

They usually book out for the day on reservations alone. You may be able to walk up but when we were there they turned everyone away who asked. Maybe first thing in the morning but its easier to just have a reservation. We were also there during a relatively slow time.

We were just there a few days before Christmas and they were taking walk ups. Just to be safe though, a reservation is always best.

We have done the "first haircut" for both our Girls.
One was 10 months old and the other was 19 months old. And it was both of their first haircuts, it is such a nice memory to have.
The cost was $25 and was worth it. The hairdressers were very good with the wiggly kids and kept them well entertained.

We made reservations, the place is very busy.

Thanks to the OP for posting this. DD will turn 10 months old on our upcoming trip in March and she was born with a head full of hair and thankfully hasn't lost it. DW and I had already read about the baby's first haircut experience but had forgotten to make the reservation until this reminded us. Good thing, too, our first choice day only had one time that would not have worked due to an ADR that we could not have moved to another day.

Definitely get a reservation. Got one for first haircut, loved it. Had a regular hair cut the next trip with reservation. Next trip forgot, couldn't get in, was full. The next time, had my youngest a reservation, the other 3 decided they wanted their haircuts too. They were able to accommodate, but they had to wait 2 hours. They did give them a time to be back so they were able to do other things.
