Harmony Barber shop, is this true?

At the party store yesterday, I mentioned to the sales clerk that I was looking for colored hair gel. We have an appt at Harmony Barber shop on our first day of our November trip. Since it's also our MVMCP day, we were going to hit the hotel for a nap and possibly pool time, then go back for the later hours. I am worried the kids' hair gel will come out and not be "fancy" for the party. I couldn't manage a later appt, so I figured I'd just fix any damage myself. She said not to worry about buying hair gel, that I could take them back to the shop and they would fix it? She seemed to know what she's talking about, but I don't want to make that presumption and then be wrong and have 2 very upset little Christmas partiers. So does anyone have experience and know for sure?

Can't you skip the swimming that day? Find another activity to do instead?
(Naps never worked for our kids at WDW...they could not wind down enough).

Thank you! We will probably just skip the swimming. I don't think my kids will nap either, so we will have to find something else to unwind. Maybe we can just sleep in and go to the park later instead.

Have they started using the colored hair gel at the barber shop again? They stopped doing it a couple of years ago. You can still get confetti, but unless it's changed recently, you can't get the hair gel anymore.

Oh no! I was not aware of that I will have to call today and double check. If they don't do it anymore, I might be canceling that appointment. Do they do anything else special in place of it, or is it just a plain old haircut?

I was there in Easter and they didn't use the colored hair gel anymore. They just use regular hair gel with the confetti

I called and the CM I talked to had no idea what I was talking about. She just kept saying they don't "dye children's hair because of the dangerous chemicals" and that they used a spray bottle with water to style. No matter how I explained it, "it's colored gel they use to style" "it's temporary, like paint, and washes out" etc, she didn't seem to get it. I could hear that she was annoyed in her voice, so I just said "OK thanks" and ended the call.

Thank you for clarifying. I think Confetti will still be cool for the Christmas party for them.

So at Harmony Barber Shop, you can get a haircut and have confetti sprinkled over your hair? I think my kids might like this. How far in advance to you have to book an appointment?
