I have a relative who has been hit by the recession. Had to sell the car and behind in payments. I had to drive her and her husband to court yesterday. She was tried for shoplifting a can of peaches. This was the first time she ever did this. The judge asked her how many peaches were in the can. She told him she thought 6. Considering this was her first offense he gave her 6 days in jail, one for each peach. Hearing this her husband jumped up and yelled "Honey tell the judge about the can of peas you stole."

Why is it whenever someone posts something humorous or a joke someone has to come and either a. bash on it for not being funny enough for them or b. take it personally and tell everyone how offensive it is?

Can't we all just read a joke, laugh and move on??

I only realized it was at the end, when I noticed it was manning posting it. I don't notice poster's names very often, but some I've started to remember, and manning likes to post funny little jokes that don't sound like jokes at the beginning...

Loved it... although I do get in trouble for laughing at jokes other people get very offended at. Yes, I'm looking at you and your peabrained pals Charlie Monsoon. Get a life. The joke was funny.

When I first started reading I thought it was serious and in my head I was preparing comments like "why on earth didn't they use a food shelf and get their peaches there?" and "I hope they can get past their pride and ask for help next time they want peaches" and smartyass answers like that. LOL LOL

yep - I was prepared to read about another serious story about someone who really had fallen on hard times. So, yeah, I was dissappointed in the joke. eh - maybe if I had read it another time....
