Hard time deciding next trip?

Hi everyone!
We are trying to decide our next trips for 2007. I feel confused and lost. We have only owned DVC 2 years and already feel like this. I am nuts! Does anyone else ever feel this way when trying to plan vacations in the future?
Any suggestions?

I almost always stay with the same plan every year, may sound crazy but works great. I love my home SSR so thats easy, we always visit parks 3 days, we pick the same places to eat with one new try each year. One water park day and the rest is always optional, this works for us hope you have a great time dont stress out.

We don't always go at the same time, but we always stay at the same resort, OKW, because it was the first on-property resort we stayed before we joined DVC. Even though our points are at BWV & SSR, we still prefer the relaxed pace at OKW.

Our decision about when we go changes every time. Our last trip happened because my sister called in early March to find out if she and her family could using our points. However, her timing was too late to get accommodations (spring break = too croweded), so we proposed that we all go in June. Then, while we were there, Page and I decided we needed a trip for ourselves, so now we're planning the first week of September 2007.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself... if you can't go and can bank your points, then bank them! If that doesn't work, then rent your points. It's relatively painless and that way you're points aren't going ot waste!

I am right there with ya!! This past week I've been looking through my calendar trying to figure out "the best" time. And I just couldn't figure it out. We cancelled BWV for late Oct. b/k we have another small trip to the beach planned for late Sept. and I'm just worried about the kids school wise (not really my son b/k he is still in elementary; 5th grade but more for my DD who is in 7th). Now, I booked Easter and am worried it's going to be soooo crowded plus it is a bad time for my DH to get away b/k it's his busy time of year. We used to go at Christmas b/k the kids got two weeks but now they only get one. That was nice then b/k we always beat the crowds or were there after the crowds left.
It's so confusing esp. when you are a spare of the moment gal like myself. I'm finding out that is the one thing I don't like about DVC , is it's so hard to just go when you want to go without planning way ahead.
Oh, well..... we will go and have a wonderful time no matter when we go I'm sure, but I do know how you feel.

We tend to always choose between several times of the year, but have our favorites that we usually come back to. This year we tried early March and Spring Training. Next year it will be our first Thanksgiving trip for our DS's WDW wedding. Our favorites are usually December and January, because we HATE crowds for the most part. We do like trying other times of year, and we have discovered after a couple of trips then that September is WAY TOO HOT for us! We liked October too, but prefer early December to everything else.

I'm feeling the same way right now! I just interviewed for a job in the school system. If I get it, our annual Jan. trips will be a thing of the past. Also, my 8th grader will be taking three high school classes, so we probably wouldn't pull him out of school anyway. After going in hot, crowded June we thought we'd take a break from WDW and maybe try HH (we stopped by there in June, too). The only problem is that we have AP's that are good through the end of Jan, and WDW is our favorite place in the world. Sorry to ramble, but I know how you feel. Our use year is August, so we have a fresh round of points just waiting to be scheduled.

My problem I'm having right now is how many of us are going next summer. The kids are all getting old and don't know where they will be at next summer. They all (4 Kids) want to come if they are available. So I hate to book a two bedroom and find out just my youngest son is coming. I thought that he & my daughter should make it but she is talking about working at camp again next summer. I can't make the vacation too late in August because of colleges. They usually start the last week of August. Oh well I'm just going to wait alittle longer and hope for the best when I call up for ressies.
