Hi,
Wanted opinions about the Hard Rock Vault in Orlando from anyone who has been there. Is it worth it? About how long would you take to see it?

If you're really into the sounds and memorabilia of the 60s, 70s and 80s, you could spend a good 2 hours there. I think it is extremely well done, but then there is a lot of nostalgia involved with that musical period for me. There is a ton of one-off musical museum-pieces to look over, while their 'immersion' tour is a lot of fun. The overall musical chronicle is a bit uneven, IMHO, but fans of people like Hendrix, the Punk era, Elvis and so on should get a lot out of it. Take your time to talk to as many of the tour guides as possible as they all have a different take on different pieces in the collection and have a lot of knowledge of the musicians and their history. There is an OK cafe and the usual gift shop which helps to round out the time.
 
We did this in May and, whilst I don't think it's an attraction you'd revisit over and over, it's definitely worth a visit. I'd say you need to do the tour to make it really worthwhile.
