My family and I just returned from the best vacation ever!!! We stayed at Disney CSR from June 30 - July 8. Checked into the HRH on July 8- July 11. I have to say this resort is the finest hotel I've ever been in. We had a club room and the staff was amazing. I stayed there last year had a first floor garden room and it was equally awesome, but this is really the best!!! If you are going to be at Universal, I say check out the hard rock!!! The staff is just amazing, from the door men to the pool staff, to housekeeping, I don't have a negative word about any of it. If you do go, be sure to see Anthony Eulio in recreation (he's mostly at the pool doing kid activities), Angel, a server at the pool, or Vern, also serving at the pool. These people are so totally awesome I can't even describe it!!! Be sure to tell them Judy and Tony recommended them because I'm sure they will remember us!!! We rented a cabana on the 10th and I have to tell you, I'm not a celeb but I sure felt like one with the care we received. This is not to say that we had that treatment only at the pool, but they did everthing except rub my feet!!!! They even had a staffer (Melissa, I think) come around to people offering to clean your sunglasses (cabana or not)!!! She came around asking if we needed our glasses cleaned. I was like "what?" She had a spray and towel and cleaned our sunglasses!!! Anthony came around offering orange wedges, and Angel, our server, came by very often to be sure we were taken care of. Vern, who we met last year, ran into us this year at the pool and we chatted with him for a few minutes. We requested him as a server for the 10th and he was glad to oblige, however all servers were pulling doubles that day and Angel didn't want to switch. Vern got the other side of the pool and we didn't get him. He made it a point to come over, talk with us, and thank us for being so kind. He actually apologized to us for them not giving him our section!!! I can't wait to go back next year. What an awesome time and not nearly long enough!!!! Hard Rock get 10 stars in my book!!! If you can afford a club room, GET IT. They have continental breakfast every morning, between 5-7pm they have food and free drinks (including beer and wine), and between 8:30pm and 9:30 they have free snacks!!! The concierge service at the "club" even printed my boarding passes for my flight while I was out at a park at 9:15 PM the night before my flight. All I had to do was give her my conf. number and when I got back to the room they were there!!! She was so diligent that I had an "A" boarding pass because she did it right when I told her to!!! (The later you print them the lower your boarding status). Oh, I'm gushing but I can't tell you how awesome my whole HRH experience was!!!! I just hope and pray that those people are on staff next year when I go!!! I can't wait to see them again, they are so kind it's like they're friends!!! I also highly recommend the Palm restaurant. My hubby and I ate a five pound lobster!!! It included two sides! I had a cocktail and he had coffee, with tip it cost about $120. Well worth it if you love lobster!!!! Enjoy!

I always love to hear glowing reports about HRH!!What room did you have and what was your view?We are arriving Aug.22 for 7 days.Tell me everything that you found with the cabana(am also thinking about that for one day) and is it worth it??

We stayed in room 7101, it was a courtyard view. The cabana had fresh fruit, coke, sprite, water, a television, table with 4 chairs, 4 lawn type chairs in front of the cabana solely for your use (they do ask people that are on the chairs if they are the party who rented the cabana, if you're not, they ask you to move and assist you in finding a new place), and a telephone. It also has internet access. We had cabana 8. If you're in a club room you get a discounted rate on the cabana. I believe it was like $65 instead of $150. I just got done watching our 2 hours of video tape and I miss it already. Looking forward to planning our vacation for next year.

Glad you had a wonderful time. We are going back to HRH in a couple of weeks and are hoping to have as good a time as we had last year. I loved the hotel and had nothing but compliments for the staff; very helpful, very friendly.

Hi ! I'm so glad to hear about your good time! We stayed on the club level in 2004 and it was actually by an 'oops' because we had problems with our pool room and they gave us a club level room as a courtesy which I thought was phenomenal! Did you get any special rates to do the club room - or did you just book it? Did you book by yourself, through Universal, or Expedia or ?? Please let me know! Thanks !

I booked our vacation through the universal website (universal vacations) I booked a garden view. The upgrade was a courtesy from an old manager who isn't working there anymore. We booked our trip in February for July 8-11.

I absolutley love the Hard Rock as well. It's perfect for teens my age, children, and adults alike. Personally, I love the atmosphere and music. I've been raised on classic rock and today's rock, so I love being around the music constantly. The crew is amazing, always greets you with a hello, or in my case, what's up? We're checking in August 18th for our fifth trip to Universal, and every time we have stayed at the Hard Rock, and will continue to do so.
