Hard Rock Rewards program?

Is the Hard Rock Rewards program worth it at UO? The website says late checkout and welcome amenity for hotels and birthday Rewards etc for Cafes. We will be staying over my birthday-is the program similar to Landrys? Does being a member affect late checkout or room upgrades? I was doing a search on my corporate discount site to see if there were any discounts and the Rewards program came up so I wanted to ask here and see if it is worth signing up for. It does say you have to use a separate checkin desk at participating hotels but I'm not sure if that applies or is a negative.

It's free, so the 'worth it' equation is basically - if you don't mind giving away some personal information, it's worth it.

We've only stayed at HRH once and we got there very early in the morning and there was no line to check in, so we didn't need to use the Rewards check in line.

I also noticed (way after my stay) that I didn't get any points for my stay, so you must have to mention it at check-in?

I have been a member for years, but have only stayed at a Hard Rock hotel twice (Hollywood and Orlando). The only thing it has gotten me at the Universal Hard Rock was a shorter check in line, second person in line versus sixth. Other than that, no benefits. Neither hotel awarded me points for the stays even after emailing and no other perks. Having a shorter check in line was still a benefit.

ps - at Universal the sight line to the desk is hidden by a column but the desk is at the far end of the counter from the lobby entrance. No line up queue like the main line, just a small sign.

I've been a member for quite a few years as well. The birthday gift is a free entree at the Cafe. That is about the only benefit I have used the membership for.

I learned that if you don't give them your Rewards # right away, they won't apply it at check in for the points. So I always do that now, right at check in, at the gift shop and at the Hard Rock Cafe. Once I started doing that, I got the points applied, not immediately, but within a few days they would show up on the app. So far, I have been able to get a free night at HRH. The free night was put on a separate reservation via the Rewards phone #, but fortunately I didn't have to change rooms or anything. I keep my Rewards # on my phone and just pull it up to show them. It's not an automatic thing. At the Cafe, I make sure my waitperson is aware as I'm ordering as one time I waited until the check arrived and it was a big hassle to change. As far as perks, I have only received coupons for my birthday, which I think was maybe a free entree? Or a coupon for priority seating at the HRC, which normally at UO, I don't need, but if I make a reservation, I mention that I have a PS coupon as a Rewards member. I have never received a room upgrade or welcome gift as a Rewards member specifically.
