We stayed at The Hard Rock Hotel in a standard Garden View Room for 4 nights (April 9 - April 13) before heading to The Polynesian.

I love this hotel. It is just 'sooo' cool ;)

We had a super room on the first floor, just a short walk from The Kitchen and the stairs to the lobby plus only a minute to the pool area. Our room number was 1213, the view was over some landscaping.

The Green Bedspreads weren't sooo bad ;)

To be there now!....

We had a wonderful trip. The pool area was amazing and I loved the music piped under the water and all around the resort. The dive-in movie was School of Rock which DS enjoyed. Being just a 5 minute walk from the parks was so handy. We often popped back in the day for a swim and relax before heading into the parks again in the evening - they didn't close until 10pm which was super. If you have any questions, I would be happy to help!

Thanks for looking

Sounds like you had a great time :)

I would like to hear more about 'The Kitchen' if you had a chance to eat there. :)

Oh my gosh !!!!!!! Love the photos! Thank you so much for posting them I wish Sept. would get here sooner now! Tell us more ! :) :)

Wow, sounds like you had a super time! I can't wait 'til I get to head back to Universal.

Thanks for the comments everyone and a big thanks to Kathy for getting the photo's up and running!

Teris,
We had breakfast at The Kitchen most mornings, but never had dinner there. The breakfast was delicous and included a whole host of the regular buffet offerings plus an omelette station. It wasn't particularly cheap but the service and quality was exceptional. I would highly recommend it!

Only to have an amazing time! Which will be difficult not to when staying at these two resorts :)

Thanks for the great pics.

We have booked the Hard Rock Hotel in January 2005. Never been to Orlando before. Any info would be appreciated.

I have been told the music through the resort is loud? Any advice? We are a family of 4 with 2 young adults 17 yrs & 19 yrs -do you think this would be a good one to stay at?

We have booked a 1 pool view room with a rollaway bed. Will it be too cramped?

What is the transport to WDW from HRH and around the major parks?

Hi Cjeong :)

We all loved the music throughout the resort. It isn't particularly loud with the background noise and I never wished 'please just turn that music down!' Around the pool (and even in the pool!) it is really great.

We had a roll-away in the room and I don't think it was too cramped. It wasn't wonderfully spacious but it was fine just for sleeping in.

We didn't go to WDW whilst staying at HRH (we moved to the Poly) so I can't help with that question - however I know that Universal themselves do not offer transport to Disney. We visited Sea World from HRH and booked a cab through the concierge. The cost was something like $24 overall.
