We've never had to throw out Easter eggs here! We always look forward to Easter as the first red beet eggs of the year! (Generally a summer treat here.)

BTW - Mamajoan, what a GREAT idea to go do this at a nursing home! I never thought of doing that. It's too late to pull together for this year, but I'm going to check into that for next year. Thanks!

No suggestions from my corner, except that we always let our colored eggs dry on baking racks with paper towels underneath. That way you don't get the little ring around the bottom.
