Harcuts on Mainstreet?

Years ago now, I remember a lot of talk about a small barbershop off Mainstreet that was sort of a hidden gem. This pre-dates Bibiddy Bobiddy though so I'm wondering if it's still there? And if so would they take a 26 year old customer? I'm thinking I'll drag my bf over to it first thing to get him in the spirit since he's been wanting a haircut anyway, but never gets around to it. I know it's pretty...sparkly, but he lets me paint his toes so I think he'll be down with it.

The Harmony Barber Shop is still on Main Street just across from the Fire Station! My teenage son actually gets his hair cut there regularly and lots of grown-ups do too. They're fabulous and reasonably priced too!

Years ago, they didn't take appointments, but now they do. You can make one by calling (407) WDW-PLAY; they still take walk-ins as well. Have fun!

My husband has always wanted to get an old-fashioned shave at a barbershop - do they offer that too? Or just haircuts?

My daughter got her first haircut there. The next trip she got another haircut and so did my husband. I think they just do haircuts (no shaves). Bring cash for the tip. They do take ccs, but you can't add a tip onto it. I would make an appointment. There are only 3 chairs so it is small. There can sometimes be long waits.

I don't think they do old fashioned shaves if you mean the single blade type. Someone asked once when I was there and they said no.

They used to offer coloured gel with Mickey confetti, but the last time we went (2013) we only were able to get the confetti (were not offering coloured gel any more) but it was still a lot of fun for my DD's Does anyone know if the coloured gel is back / will be back, or is it gone for good?

Will they take Disney Gift Cards? or charge it to my room..via Magic Band?

I guess I wasn't clear in just saying ccs. They do take Disney GCs and you can charge to your room. You still need cash for the tip because they can't add extra on to the total. I believe the barbershop shares the register system with the Emporium next door so they aren't set up to add on to the balance for a tip.

I've read no shaves at all.

I think it's a state law because of possible blood issues but not sure.

ETA: in Florida it appears shaving is allowed but maybe requires a different licence. But as I posted I've read they don't do it.

I've seen on pictures/videos where it looks like they have hair chalk (or something to that effect) and will draw a Mickey head (in bright colors) to a boys hair. not sure how it would work for a girls hair unless in a ponytail.

We're going to be making our first visit to the Barber shop next trip for my then 2 year old to have his first cut! Hoping the other two can be pixie dusted or hair chalked too!

I like the renovations. I haven't been in since 2013. We skipped it the last trip. I have a 12 month old....we will probably do her first haircut next trip or the one after that depending on how much hair she has.
