Harambe!

I have a strange confession, but I'm hoping all of you will understand. Several months ago, I was reading WDW menus and planning our ADRs. For some reason, The Harambe Fruit Market in AK caught my eye. I know it's just a little snack stand, but I somehow became stuck on it. I told my DH and sons that I couldn't wait to go to the Harambe Fruit Market. Now it's become this family joke. The boys say, "Mommy, it's almost time to go to the Harambe Fruit Market!" Several times, the boys and I have called daddy's work voicemail and yelled, "Harambe!" Sometimes I send DH e-mails at work simply saying, "Harambe!" My 8 year old and I made up a little song about going to the Harambe Fruit Market. I mentioned it to someone who works in the classroom next door to mine and now when I walk down the hallway, she yells, "Harambe Fruit Market!" at me. My dad is expecting me to call him when I finally get to the Harambe Fruit Market. I e-mailed my sister the menu from the Harambe Fruit Market and she thought I was nuts!

I can't stop talking about the Harambe Fruit Market!!!!!! Please tell me this is normal behavior just 36 hours before my trip!!!! I feel much better now that I've made this confession!

Sure its not normal-- but guess what? That is why we are all FREAKS here!
It will make a great Disney memory though!!

I have been there 12 times and cant for the life of me remember where it is and you on the other hand...are obsessed with it!

Nothing like a good inside joke to bring a family together - sounds hilarious to me! I am in my 30's and still remember the running "mountain lion" joke my family had during a car trip when I was 8! In fact, we just have to say, "Like that mountain lion, right Dad?" to get the whole thing started again. Have fun!!!

That's so funny! Several years ago, my husband and I were driving in Tahoe along with our kids and my sister. We were discussing how we've been going up there for years and had never seen a bear in the city limits. Just then, my husband points into the woods and says, "There's a bear!" My sister and I said, "Uh, that's a cow." He said, "Give me a break! All I saw was this big brown butt." So now whenever we see a cow, we say, "Look, it's a bear!"

Thanks for all your messages affirming that I am, in fact, a freak but that it is, in fact, OK!!!! Harambe!!!!!

Don't you just love watching them cut up the fruit with those huge knives? It's always our 3rd stop of the Animal Kingdom day (first we go across the way for breakfast pastries - then the Safari, and then some fruit!)
