Normally we don't bother with Valentine's Day, but I've sent hubby off to work with a large bag of Mini Eggs (last of the big spenders - me ), but for a treat we're going to Birmingham for the night tomorrow and doing a bit of shopping Saturday morning

We exchanged cards this morning. Last night we went to the cinema so I gave Mike his present early, a big Toblerone which had a rose on the packaging, so he could eat some then. We are having a take away tonight rather than eating out to save money.

Well i've just helped the postman down the drive with the bags of cards, poor guy...

Just kidding, no cards here! Do u think it would *sad* if i brought my mom some flowers, just as a gesture? As she hasnt got anything either and i don't want her feeling left out! Not sure what to do

Happy Valentine's Day

I got DH a card and the massive Toblerone that has a rose on it and DH got me a Minnie Mouse cereal bowl from the Disney Store and a Tinker Bell mini snowglobe

We don't normally bother but I've decided I don't want our DD9 & DS7 growing up thinking that these days of affection don't matter as I want them to spoil and be spoilt when they're ALOT older!

We exchanged cards this morning, and DH gave me flowers and chocolates we are having a meal this evening.

DS Adam 5 was really upset as he thought he was being left out but I have promised him a chocolate cake after school tonight which made him happy

Oh and he did get a suprise when he went to school he got his first ever Valentine card (how sweet) from a little girl called Lucy.

We don't celebrate, but DH does send the DD's a card each, they don't know it's him though I did buy a box of lindt truffles to share
