Happy Thanksgiving - Yo Philly!

Tune to 6abc this morning for the Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade (small plug for my employer )

Throughout the parade there will be live video feed from WDW and I believe some taped segments of the various WDW parades. I know Mickey & Minnie will be on hand in Philly, not sure who else.

Enjoy this day of thanks and the joy of those around you as we head in to the holiday season.

Don't they usually do some taped segments in WDW during the parade? I remember Mickey and Minnie and some other Disney characters always being at the parade in Philly.

We watched it this morning!! Kept thinking "one more year!!" when they were showing footage from inside the parks!!
It did get me to thinking....do any other local parades show so many Disney characters in the parade and have an anchor in WDW itself??

We did not catch much of the parade, we went to see Elf this am at 10:30!! Loved it!

I only watched the macy*s parade. Were any characters there besides Mickey and Minnie?

I don't know about any other local parades, but I'm sure the Disney characters are at the Boscovs parade because 6ABC carries it.....and we all know who owns ABC, right?

Let's see if I can remember what characters were there, aside from the "head cheese" and his lady!! Chip and Dale, Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc., the bears from Brother Bear (sorry, don't remember their names!!) and I THINK Belle and Beast (don't remember if they were in Philly or just the footage from Disney). I figured that all the characters were there since Disney owns ABC....I was wondering if any other local ABC tv station does this type of thing as well. It IS nice seeing clips from WDW on Thanksgiving morning!

I watched as much as I could, between showering and cooking a vegetable before heading out to MIL's for dinner. I was surprised to learn that at least 5 other affilates were airing the parade in NY and PA. There was also a station in NC the was broadcasting the Philly parade. The Mission Space sequence was cool, they showed a lot more than I had expected.

I like to watch the Macy's parade, but this is probably the third year I've skipped it in favor of the Boscov's parade. Each year they post a volunteer sign-up sheet at work, and I keep thinking how I'd like to be a part. I have yet to sign up.

Next year I expect to be in WDW! Maybe we'll be one of the families on the air - live - from Epcot! At least that's where I hope to be on Thanksgiving morning 2004.
