Happy St. Patricks Day!!

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy day. I am Greek but my DH is half Irish so I am attempting to make Cornbeef and cabbage with red potatoes. I bought rye bread and coleslaw for sandwiches in case that doesnt work out. What is everyone else doing? Is there something else I should make for St Pats day other than that?

I am just enjoying the many shades of green all of my students are wearing today. It is such a cheery color. Especially, LIME GREEN!!!!

A Year ago today I was in Down Town Disney eating Sheppards Pie and watching a U2 cover band at Ragland Road.

My 9 yr old's name is Patrick so he thinks this day is all about him. You can imagine how his 11 yr old sister handles this!

DH is out of town so I just bought some stuff at the deli and made myself a rueben sandwich to celebrate. A far cry from the celebrations during the 4 years I spent in Boston after college.

I personally love St. Patrick's Day! Green is among my favorite colors and I now have two Patricks in my life...my wonderful husband and my adorable son!

NC B. and I were in Baltimore and family friends brought:
*spinach salad with homemade blue cheese dressing
*corned beef--- MASH'S, plus some leftover chicken made by NC Beast's executive chef brother
*baby white potatoes, carrots, cabbage (boiled with the corned beef)
*Irish Soda bread
*MIL bought some great Italian cookies from the Fells Point area, but we left to catch our plane before having them

Beast's folks had flower arrangement with various Irish theme flowers like the Bells of Ireland, lavender, and shamrocks.

We could not make it to the parade on Sunday and St. Patrick's service downtown.
