Last week someone posted they had just bought some Yanaha FXCruisers and I said we had had some but they had been stolen. Well last night we got a call from the neighboring area code from us which I wouldn't of picked up but my DD did. She is like mom the sheriff is on the phone. My DH wasn't home yet so I did a little mental panic then realized that he would of been coming home through highway patrol, anyway..... deputy was like do you have some waverunners you want back? I am like OMG YES. He says you can come get them etc. Then he describes the trailer it doesnt sound like ours he says just say it is yours etc when you get here LOL. I got directions. He asks if we have a truck with a hitch, I am totally clueless I said I guess we must since we towed them LOL. So my husband went and got them, they are fine just nasty dirty, no keys to them and thy painted part o the trailer blue and took the box offf. It is our trailer and they did something with our vests and there are other vests. How often do you ever get stolen property back in good condition? Like NEVER. And who the heck drives around with nasty dirty waverunners with no keys on 4th of july weekend? You cant drive them without the keys can you? so why tow them? He presented some titles to some cheap junk waverunners to the officer who had worked at a yamaha store and knew better and also knew that someone wouldnt drive around with waverunners as nice as ours that dirty.

Now here is the kicker I think DH hubby wants to keep them. UGH. I can legally drive it as you don't need a license but i am terrified as I don't see well and even my optomottrist says dont do it alone. Well DUH I am never driving the damn thing again. I never could dock it to start with and that had nothing to do with me seeing. My DS 16 can legally drive it he is old enough and my DH loves to do stuff with him. They are 3 passengers so the 5 of us could go out on them and we could go with my MIL. My Mom will never go on them again as she fell off in the middle of a lake and couldnt get back on for a long time. The lake closest to us is disgusting IMHO. THe river is really narrow and scares me. I do like havasu but my DS plays football so it is hard for him to get time off to go places. Then my really good friends girls just got in areally bad boating accident memorial day weekend at the jersey shore and almost died. Her daughter was sitting right next to the kid that got ejected and was killed and her daughter still cant walk. Crap like this scares the daylights out of me. Everyone I know has the mentality that this will never happen to ME I am careful. Well I am just the opposite. I have bad luck I do think it can and will happen to me.

Anway it is just a really weird thing to have happen so I am not sure what to think. They are completly paid for. Any thoughts?

I've read this a couple of times, and I'm confused. The waverunners are yours, they were stolen, they were found by the police, and you got them back. And now you don't want them anymore because you are afraid of waverunners?

I thought of you last night!!! We got ours out and waxed it up and did general maintainance on it. It is always garage kept, except last night we left it out knowing we are using it tomorrow. Well, don't you know, I saw DH last night before it had gotten dark doing something down at the ski. He was attaching a locking cable through the wheels and around a tree. That is when I thought of you:thumbsup2!!!!

Glad you got them back. If I wasn't going to use them, I would sell them. No sense letting them depreciate, get some money out of them and let someone else enjoy them!!!!

My thoughts exactly.
I don't get it either :confused3
Were you glad that they were stolen and sad that they were found

I don't know how to multiple quote sorry.

I wouldn't say I was glad they were stolen but yes I sort of wanted them sold before they got stolen. My DH just came home with them. I had only ever been on wavernners maybe 2 or 3 times and always on the open ocean. I am legally blind with area of vision loss so I can see ok straigh on just can't see side to side real well. He bought the second one for "me" LOL. He NEVER buys himself things so it wasn't like I could really flip out on him. And if he is going to have a mid life crisis waverunners are the way to go. So now that we have them back I still want to sell them. And DH is talking about where to put them.

I think my DH had a ball lock and then took it off and lost the key. We also have huge RV parkihg, you cam park a huge rv and huge boat back there but you have to go over our lawn to do it and my DH didn't want to tear up the lawn. We have a 3 car garage but the 3rd stall has a half wall where there are weights and a bench. He is now saying he is going to take the wall down and move the weights upstairs to my sons room or our bonus room. Both of which there is no room for but whatever LOL.

I kind of feel like a shrew telling him to sell them, and I do admit I am paranoid about things. The only thing I am pretty calm about is my son driving, go figure. If you have driven with my MIL nothing phases you. But I just took a look at my sons 4runner and he has a tow hitch. I can just see my DH telling my DS he and his friends can take the things out. :scared1:

Let me help you. See the button to the right of the quote at the bottom of this response. To do multi quotes, click on that one for each response you want to quote. On your last quote, hit the actual "quote" button. They should all be there!!! Hope I explained this so that you understand it!!!

MoniqueU, after your explanation I now understand your OP. Just didn't quite make sense to me at first.
Sorry,

Karen :)
