My sweet DS(9) makes me so happy to be his Mom. He was very excited this morning to present me with a gift he made at school, wrapped in a brown paper bag and with a beautiful handmade card.

I LOVE those sweet gifts made with his own hands, and how proud and happy he is to give them to me! More precious than any expensive jewelry could ever be!

The bad news is that I didn't get taken out for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The good news is that I wasn't tempted by any of those restaurant foods

The really, <i>really</i> good news is that I spent the day with my mother and she had enough strength to spend about 10 minutes walking through Marshal Field with me.

I love finding the silver linings in life, they are so pretty and shiny
