Happy Limo Rates ?????

I called Happy Limo for a one way towncar trip from the Dolphin to the Orlando airport. Their rates online listed a one way fare of $45. I was surprised when I called that the rate was in fact $57. They said that the increase was for tolls and gratuity for the driver. Is this common practice to add in these additional fees?? Has anyone else had this experience??

Personally, I like the gratuity being added in so I don't have to do any math, although some people do not like it. Every time we've used Happy Limo, we've felt that the driver earned the gratuity. If I had a problem, I would not be shy about speaking up about it. Did you get the coupon rate?

Can you use a coupon for only a 1 way fare? I thought most coupons were good for round trips only. Where do you get the coupon?

Gratuities are generally added for a limo (not towncar) BUT tolls should be included in the posted rate. Really just a sleazy way to make their costs look cheaper than they are.

Actually I looked at their website, they have a separate price for MK resorts but only footnote the surcharge. VERY SLEAZY.

Someone on the Universal boards had a big problem with them. I'd go elsewhere.

We just booked with Happy Limo for round trip to/from Sanford and ASMo and I was very pleased with the rates. I too am glad they add in the misc. costs so that the rate you are paying is for everything.

Happy Limo has gotten alot of positive feedback from users on this board; their confirmation process is quite efficient too.
We're treating ourselves to a stretch limo and I know the rate is reasonable because a small limo company not far from our home charges only $25 less for their round trips that are not as long in minutes as this one.

I really agree with Lewis though. I believe that the toll fees should have been included in the regular fare of $45 not added after the fact. I have given $10 in tip to drivers in the past but I find it presumptuous of them to assume that everybody should regardless of the service.

Does anyone know of that coupon that Barb mentioned?

Jim, I have a coupon on my website and mousesavers has one too. The coupon says roundtrip, but I recommend calling them on their toll-free number to ask about one-way. I'm almost positive there is still a discount...just not as much.
