Just got back from our stay at the Yacht Club and had a great experience with Happy Limo.

We reserved a town car for our round trip to and from the airport. We were picked up in a Ford Excursion by a very friendly and helpful driver. Good experience with a nice free upgrade.

When our trip was over, we were waiting outside our hotel to be picked up and taken to the airport, up pulls a stretch Hummer Limo with a Happy Limo tag on the front. I told my husband what it would cost if we would have reserved that limo. As we sat there wondering what celebrity we were going to see, the driver walks up and says my name!! I walked up to him and said that I had not ordered the stretch Hummer, he said it was my lucky day and we were upgraded for free!! He then rolls out a red carpet for us to walk on to get in the car! You should have seen the valet and bell hops checking out our car. One of them asked for our autpgraph since we must be someone famous. It looked like it could hold 20 people, with two t.v.'s, a phone and huge bar. The kids absolutley loved the ride to the airport. What a perfect end to a great trip. We were so sad about leaving, so this really perked us up.

I would of course highly recommend Happy Limo! ::yes::
 
I hope I get an upgrade like you did!

I used Happy Limo in Novemeber and was pleased so I booked them again for this September.

I would be so excited to get a limo instead of the town car I reserved!
 
I love it when they do things like that :) They picked us up in a super stretch from the Poly on a birthday trip for my youngest DD. It was a fantastic surprise. I have always had wonderful drivers with them. Happy all the way for us!
 
We booked at stretch for October-what do you think the chances are.........?
 

I wonder if they were trying to get the Hummer out and about for people to see. One valet asked the driver for his card and one said "this is a brand new hummer". It was obvious they had not seen one at the Yacht club and maybe Happy Limo thought it would be good PR. I think it worked if that was the case!

BTW, our "driver" was the Director Of Sales for Happy Limo according to his card, so I think it reinforces my theory that he wanted the valets to see it and maybe recommend it to others.

I didn't care what the reason was, especially with the gas prices, I thought it was a very nice gesture!
 
I filled out the online reservation form yesterday evening around 6:00 for our trip this coming Friday and I still have not received an e-mail confirmation from them. I have emailed them twice today to make sure they had received my reservation request and haven't heard a word from them. I wonder what the problem is?? Should I just go ahead and call them. Because of all the good reviews I've read about them here on the Boards I really want to use them.

What a great story!! I've booked a stretch limo both ways when we head down later this month.
Based on the stories I've heard about HL, it should be a grand time.

Call their 800 number-they are open 24/7 and the reservation people I have talked to are extremely friendly and helpful-sometime emails don't get through for one reason or another. Everytime I have emailed them I got a response within a day.
 
I emailed them a total of three times and heard absolutely nothing. I finally gave up and called them a couple of minutes ago and the lady said their reservation system was down Friday because of storms. I then asked why no one had answered my three emails and she said she had no clue. She offered no apology or explanation she just asked if I wanted to make a reservation. I went ahead and gave her our info but I was not happy at all with her attitude. She said I should get an email confirmation within 24 hours. We can only hope.

Boy, Happy Limo must be having some severe problems. As I posted above I finally gave up and called them to make our reservation. Well today after waiting 24 hours to receive my confirmation I called them yet again. I wasn't nearly as friendly this time as I was previously. I asked them what in the world was going on that they had not answered my initial reservation nor had they answered three emails that I sent them after that and after calling to make my reservation I still had not gotten even a confirmation number from them. The man said they were having a terrible time with their online reservation system and their email. I told him that's not the customers fault and their total lack of communication left me with no idea if I would be picked up at the airport or left stranded and that their total lack of consideration was completely unacceptable. He apologized and begged me not to call a different company so I told him that they had better be at the airport on time Friday afternoon or I would make sure and post here on the DIS the treatment I received from them!!! He also gave me a confirmation number which up until now I didn't have. Hopefully everything will be okay when we arrive.

Sorry this is so long I have been soooooo aggrevated I just had to share with someone. :(

it seems that either people love Happy Limo or they hate them.

i felt goood about them for our vacation needs based on my travel agent's advice, had a problem and called dustomer dervice and recieved immediate help so i do feel good about using them.

but after reading all of the negatives that get posted, especially the one about getting stranded at amtrak that i read in aonther thread, my wife and DS #1 need to picked up there. to be honest i am a bit worried.

need more positive reinforcement here!!! help

the stretch hummer would definitly reinforce any worried feeelings here. are you listening happy limo!!!:chat: :chat: :chat:
 
I called yesterday to book for August. They were obviously very busy and asked if they could call me back. They promptly returned my call and took all of my information. I've used them several times in the past, always with good results.
 
sixcats, can you share your experiences with Happy? Where do they pickup, grocery stop etc.? Limo or towncar?
 
HappyLimo must be having major conputer problems because I still haven't received a confirmatory e-mail. I'm going to call today to re-book.

That being said I've known other people who have used their service and they have been extremely pleased with HappyLimo.
 
Just out of curiousity to those who have received a free upgrade, did you feel you needed to tip the driver again because you received a better car than you ordered? My sister ordered regular town car service but was picked up in a limo and they did give the drive an additional tip. The tip is already included in the fee, but did you tip more?
 
Momrules-We have used towncars and vans, and have an Expedition limo booked for this summer. We never did the grocery stop.

Where they pick us up depends on which terminal we land at. At one of the terminals, they meet you at the baggage claim. For the other terminal, they ask you to call when you arrive. They will then tell you a space number where you can meet the car outside the terminal. I believe that you can arrange for them to meet you inside, but that requires a small wait and a parking fee.

We were upgraded to a stretch Limo Saturday. Very nice surprise and perfect way to end a long week!
We did tip an additional $10 to the driver but only because he had to wait for our luggage! My mom ordered our luggage picked up at 9 when she checked out at 8. (I was still in the room getting ready :P) We all left the room at 8:30 to make one last stop at the giftshop before HappyLimo was scheduled to arrive at 9:30. He was there exactly on time w/ the limo but our luggage was NOT! Three times the bell-hops told us our luggage was on it's way down now and three times three different carts showed up without ours. Finally, after expressing to them that we have a car waiting and a flight to catch and did not appreciate this, a cart came that was absolutely LOADED with luggage.. ours included. This was at 10! The driver was very patient and courteous throughout, so we tipped him more. :)
