I used Happy Limo in May, and requested the grocery stop service. They are using Albertson's Grocery store. I faxed a list of my items (if you have 15 or more, they'll shop for you) on a Thursday and called back on Friday to confirm that they stock everything on my list. I was told that they did and that everything looked good.
Once we got there, I went to pay and someone went in the back to get my grocery order. I didn't see the order before paying and the paying process took a while since they were having problems with their credit card terminal. Anyway, I felt rushed to get back to the limo since you only have 15 minutes. Once we got to the hotel, my 6th sense kicked in to tell me to check the groceries. First thing I noticed was that they did not put in the diapers I had ordered! We were travelling with a 1 year old, so they were kind of THE priority item. We were able to rectify the problem because some kind strangers overheard our problem and offered to take us offsite to buy diapers. Long story short, they missed several items and didn't follow quantity requests. I'm an accountant, so I tend to be pretty anal about details. My list was an itemized list showing brand, description, quantity, flavor, etc. it left nothing to the imagination!
Would I do the grocery stop again....Yes. Would I allow Albertson's to pull the groceries....NOOOOO! The best advice I can give you is to create a list in advance. Also, Albertson's does stock alcohol (beer included) and it's definately cheaper than the hotel.
