It's Halloween--the beginning of the "season of temptation" LOL. We CAN make it through today! You all have inspired me so much, and I know we WILL make it through today. The way I am making it through is by thinking about how hard I have worked this week. I don't want to blow it over some silly little candy that I would have to feel all guilty about later on. Onward and downward! Good luck my WISH buddies!

Here in Italy we celebrated trick or treat last night, so the candy is in the house!!! But I have only indulged in a Kit Kat, and it was sooo yummy, and I am counting it towards what I eat today. DS went through his candy and kept only what he really wanted and I have to say there were very few of my favorites in there, thankfully. I saved about 5 pieces of candy for myself and will only eat them when I have the desire and the allotment for them.

Last night at the Halloween party I was surrounded by cookies, cakes, cupcakes, hot dogs, chilli, the works. And I surprised myself and only ate a half of a hot dog and part of a cupcake, the desire just wasn't there, so I must be doing something right. My thought is not to deprive than you are less apt to cheat!

Onward and downward.....we can do this!

I love your attitude, Elisabeth!!! You're so right!! We can get through this together!!!!

Ok....... all together now.......

NO Candy...............NO Candy..........NO Candy.............NO Candy...................NO Candy...........NO Candy

NO CANDY!!!!!

We will be starting ouR Trick oR treating in about an hour!! So I had better start chanting "NO CANDY" Good luck to all of us. WE WILL NOT GIVE IN TO TEMPTATION!!! :crazy2:

I made it through temptation 1 for the day, which was my Halloween party at work. The only thing I had that I had not planned on eating was some carrots with vegetable dip (and I did have the points for them). I find it so encouraging how my outlook has changed. Before I would have had at least a taste of every dessert, and now I managed to avoid them.

My second temptation will be my friend's Halloween party tonight. We are supposed to bring our own sandwiches, then bring a dessert to share. I made a dessert that isn't my favorite, so I think I can avoid it. My plan for tonight is to borrow a fellow WWer's motto that she said at a meeting a few weeks ago: Don't Even Start. I think it will be easier on me if I don't even try a little dessert. I'm afraid if I try some I'll just fall off the wagon. I have tried WAY too hard this week to let that happen. I just hope my weight cooperates at weigh-in on Saturday (last week the bloat fairy was in town for TOM).

Good job everyone!!!

I like that motto!! I can just see me wagging my finger at myself and saying Don't Even Start in a firm voice!!! Hey--it works on my DD, it should work on me, too!! :D

Ooops, I hit the submit button too soon! I had to edit to say......

Congratulations on making it over the first hurdle of the day, Elisabeth!! And it sounds like you have a good plan for the second one, too!! Good luck at the party! :D

You're doing great, Elisabeth.

Hang in there everyone. You can make it through Halloween!
