Happy Halloween, everyone! My Godson is all excited because he gets to wear his costume for a parade today at school. He's a T-Rex.
I remember Halloween in Grade school and being just as excited for after lunch, when we got to put our costumes on for a little party in our classroom. We would talk about what was in store for that night when we got to go door-to-door in our neighborhood collecting candy.
After we got home from trick-or-treating, my mother would dump our bags onto the kitchen table and sort everything into bowls: chocolate, lollipops, hard candy, etc. I think the candy was bigger and better back then. We would also collect pennies for UNICEF in special little orange boxes, to be turned in on the next school day.
Good times!
