Good morning, everyone!! Happy Easter to my dear friends!!
Holly--sending you lots of hugs today! Your mom is so proud of you, and looking at you and smiling!
What's on the menu?: Well, it's different this year. DH's bday is the end of March, and DBro's bday is the middle of April, so usually one of their birthdays is combined with Easter. Since DSIL is on bedrest, we had to wait on that, so with everyone just coming off of vacation, we're going to O'Charley's. Just gotta decide if I want brunch or lunch! If lunch, then definitely a black and bleu salad!!
Where's dinner for you?: O'Charley's
Family Traditions: Like a lot of you, we always did big Easter baskets and that sort of thing growing up. I've made sure the Easter Bunny got in here this am and left DS an Easter basket. DH also got one of those "carrot-shaped" things filled with Reese's Pieces! We hid eggs last year (yes, even when DS was 8 months old), and that's been done this year, too. I'm not sure he gets the idea, but we'll see!
What do you think of when you think of Easter?: Like most holidays, it's a day when I'm overwhelmed by my blessings. Even on those frustrating days, I know how very, very blessed I am. I think of Jesus, family church on Easter (when I was little), singing "Up from the Grave He Arose" (LOVE that!), and then I think about Easter when I was 4. . .I had a pretty dress, a great basket, and was ready to go to "my" church. AND THEN, something happened, and I had to go to my grandmother's and go to a church I didn't know and sit with them. Why? Oh, because of a little thing called "labor" and DBro arriving 3 weeks early!
