He is risen indeed! Happy Easter to all - how do you plan to celebrate?
We're in a season of life where no tradition stands; we play it by ear and accommodate everyone else's plans as best we can. Today we'll go to a joyfully raucous service at church at 11:00 (we usually go at 9:00) and then straight to a fancy brunch in a hotel ballroom with friends. Never done that before! This evening we're invited to feast with another group of friends; that's also off-the-norm because we usually host. I decorated the Easter table last night anyway, and about 1/2 of the treats have already been mowed down but I may just scarf a few for breakfast before anyone else gets up.
There's a lightness in my spirit and a song in my heart - I feel so fortunate to have plenty of loved ones to spend this happy day with, even if things aren't exactly how I would have planned them.

Have a lovely time. We travelled last year at Easter on a cruise and found it's just not quite right for us. I doubt we'll ever again plan to be away during a major season of celebration such as Easter or Christmas. Being in our "place" with our "people", even if the exact details morph from year-to-year, is just such an important part of our lives. Not sorry we tried it once though, it was worth it to find out it wasn't a fit.
