Hi does anyone know if you could upgrade premium dinner ticket to a dreams meal? also when getting a quote for disneyland hotel a 5 bed room quote comes up? thanks:surfweb:

Hi does anyone know if you have full board premium option, does this mean you can eat in auberge for lunch and supper in inventions?thanks:surfweb:

:surfweb:thankyou, i know it sounds greedy but when you spend £10 plus on a burger meal, it will only be a bit more for a sit down meal. Do you think they will let you upgrade to a dreams meal?
thanks:surfweb:

No one has reported back on trying it yet but as you can use vouchers at face value for the normal menu I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to. The only thing I'd say is that it may not be the most cost effective way to pay for it - the Dreams menu meal costs €40 each, I'm not sure what the face value of the Premium meal voucher is but I think it's more than this and I bet you wouldn't get any change.

Does it automatically go to the family room and not let you change it for a standard room? What dates are you looking at? I guess if it's within the next week or two they could be sold out of standard rooms?

First time I ever had it go straight to the 5 person room. 10th June I was searching for 5 nights.

Looking at the full board option, then it seems like only an extra £21 for an adult for another premium meal a day.. could this be correct?I know some of you experts know all the pro's and con's inside out.. plus I have a shareholders card just to throw the spanner in the works1 just spending hours trying to work out best option:surfweb:

I see what you mean. I just did a couple of dummy bookings for round about that date and it did the same to me whereas later on in the month it gave me the choice of rooms although the discount was only 25%. As it's under the 40% offer I wonder if the standard rooms are sold out? Might be worth phoning to see what they say?

Unfortunately I'm not one of those experts but looking at DLRP Magic you're right, full board premium vouchers cost £65. If you're planning to eat at the three restaurants solely on the premium package (Inventions, California Grill and Auberge) or go to Buffalo Bill's then it's worth serious consideration. If not then wouldn't it be better to just use your shareholders discount? I've bought half-board standard plus vouchers for our trip but only because buying them enabled us to benefit from the 40% offer. I wouldn't buy them normally as we use my shareholders discount and IMO they haven't saved us anything, if anything I think I may end up being slightly out of pocket if I can't get shareholders discount (sometimes people report difficulty getting this when using vouchers) on any drink refills we may want.

I totally agree with you that when you spend in excess of £10 on a counter service meal it only costs a bit more for a much nicer table service one but would you really want to be having two table service meals every day for 5 days because as I understand it you have to buy the meal vouchers for every night of your stay. Remember you'll already be having a yummy breakfast each morning if you stay at the Disneyland Hotel! Please don't think I'm implying that you're greedy, I LOVE my food  but think even I would feel a bit 'fooded out' on two big meals plus breakfast a day.

I guess what you need to do is work out the two places you'd choose to eat at each day then work out from the menus how much it would cost you, deduct your shareholders discount, then see whether it's worth getting the vouchers.

Let us know what you decide. :)

I too thought that the the full board premium plan looked like a good deal, but when reading the small print whilst adding them to the booking via the website. I noticed that it states that you receive two types of vouchers one premium voucher and one that can only be used for the buffet restaurants inside the parks, so sounds like you get one premium and one standard.

Thankyou for all your wise words, I will need another day to sit and work it out! I believe two or 3 out of the 5 days we would like two meals, I know greedy but so many yummy places to try and fit in! But there will be days when all I want for lunch is a croque M (sorry my spelling is not that great). Thanks for all your help. It would be interesting to know exactly what the lunchtime ticket will allow, Auberge or not to Auberge.. that is the question.. Night all:flower3:
